Default Rear License Plate Bracket Available?

Anyone know what the part# is for this thing? I'm looking for the whole assembly, inclusive of the bracket and lights. I presume it's available for purchase as an assembly, yes? I tried a couple different on-line parts sites, but no luck finding it.

Alternatively, anyone know of anyone who is parting out a Baja?

Thanks....

I'm considering gutting my tailgate and I would be removing the bracket and putting in smaller lights. However, the weather has to get warmer before I can attempt this. Also, I have a friend who works in a parts department, I can ask him if he knows any leads.

At the rate things are going this week, Spring will never arrive in the northeast! Can someone put a call into Al Gore?

Please let me know if you make any progress in either way. I got a response back from an on-line dealer indicated that I must supply the VIN. I'm inclined to just give him a '85 Brat VIN - that should confuse him.

A subaru dealer in Syracuse, NY has been using incorrect vins with cars. They said '08 WRX, 5mt, <1k miles, 20 grand'. VIN was from an OBS.

I should probably logon to scoobytruck once in a while.

I was just in the yard today looking for parts for mine, and they actually had a couple baja's in there. I'm pretty sure that I saw a good bracket on one of them. You want their info? You can buy from them online through the car-part website, or through their own website.

I need the plastic piece above the licene plate frame. Set my tailgate down while I had the boat hitched on. Hitch was not locked down and went right thru the plastic. Had a p/n but need to look for it again. Wouldn't mind contact information if you still have it.

There's the contact page for them. They had two baja's the day I was in there, and the one had a straight and complete tailgate. I'm not sure what piece you speak of, but it would've been on there. You might just give them a call and see if you can get anywhere. They do sell online though, so you could probably get it shipped.

I think the stock number on that baja was awc367, if that helps.

Just to close the loop on this thread, the part was something like $250 from the dealer, so I went the junkyard route, but nobody would sell just bracket, so I bought a whole tailgate instead. Now for sale (less the bracket).

I see your 1.5 year old late reply, and I raise you another 7!

It's been a LONG time since I logged in here, but I'm still rocking the Baja as my daily driver. I hope you are too.

I actually never owned a Baja- I was considering using the Baja bracket on my Project XRBrati. Ultimately I didn't use it and just sold the tailgate.
