i had a wrx a long time ago, yeah i miss power, my last car had 330awhp/321awtq. i really like how roomy and comfortable the outback is and how it is on gas. once i get a house, i should be allowed to get a track car. a wrx would make a great rally car, but i dont have the funds for stage rally, not to mention there isn't a lot around here. i can do like 30 lapping days a year or several club races, but maybe 1 or 2 stage rallies a year. driving fast and rowing through the gears on the street isn't much of a thrill for me.

Pretty fun in the foothills of ca. Lots of back road driving with little traffic... I miss being able so sleep in the outback. Thats abt all. Really like having a smaller car.

That's really cool. I got an XBOX 360 racing wheel for Christmas several years ago, but it didn't have force feedback and the right paddle shifter broke. I'm sure that with force feedback, a good size display, a nice wheel, and, of course, a REAL WRX seat, racing must be awesome!

Awesome stuff happening in this thread!!

Had some time off over Christmas/new year period, so i decided to paint the interior trim on my 2011 2.0R hatch (from Australia).
Wanted to do something ridiculous. I still need to order a new gear knob and Avenue performance painted steering wheel. Anyway. Ill let the pictures do the talking..

Enjoy .

I'm not a big fan of the pattern that you chose, but I am of how you took the effort to make sure the stripes line up!

I thought we established "painted parts aren't unique."

I would call that particular paint job unique.

Maybe I've listened to too much Nugent or something, but I like it!

It's definitely unique, in a rather spectacularly ugly fashion.

It looks well done. On a long drive it would probably make me want to throw up.

Nothing worth doing is going to be easy... That said - not everything that isn't easy is worth doing...

my new switches and painted the fugly "brushed aluminum" trim. not bad considering i had the flu. now i need to paint the radio bezel and slightly trim it. the wiring/interior removal still has to be done which will not be fun.

um, paint has nothing to do with why i posted that picture. i spent some time to mount those switches. since most people just buy stuff, i thought of it as semi-unique. if its not good enough, i don't mind leaving, but i have come across some pretty cool stuff on this thread.

The switches were bought, I could go get dozens of those shipped to my door in 5 minutes. Not original, not unique.

Neither is my stupid racing sim rig, you can get those PVC pipes and connectors at any home depot. No one flamed me for it though.

9.9/10 items in this thread are bought, some shipped. It's not always about what was bought, but how it's applied..... perhaps??? The nature of the thread.

I will say I have not seen those rowed up like that.... on a DD, atleast not on something that is not a hillbilly hopper
