Have a Nice Day? ICE storm............in Minnesota's Metro area!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday the Ice storm hit us!! it rained and then froze, it was all nasty!! i was walking back from my friends house and MAN, the sidewalk was all ICE!! any Scoobies in the area ALRIGHT?? i hope none of you guys in the Twin Cities get into an accident!!

My mom and Dad came home from work in our '93 Legacy and my Dad said the car just went along like it didn't have ice. It was slippery but i'm glad they made it home.

Anyone been out in the Ice storm lately?

That was pretty half-assed for an ice storm. It was just too warm so it all turned to slush overnight. No problems leaving all the trucks behind spinning on the way to work this morning.

Cool

I live in Eden Prairie, MN (south-west corner of Twin Cities). I must admit I screwed up today in the morning driving to work in my scooby.

Traffic at nine in the morning was as heavy as if it was just before 8am.

On the way to work I have to cross a bridge over a highway, and then turn left. Well entire left lane was packed with cars, so I went into the right lane. Crossed my target intersection, made sure no traffic was in danger, showed my left turn signal, steered to the left and yanked the e-brake. That's when I screwed up, instead of showing a whole intersection behind me packed with SUVs and land boats a nice 180 u-turn I instead did more like 225 and had to do some minor correction. Sorry, I need more practice. Practice (?!), oh yeah, it's lunch time!

People, please remember AWD is fun, but it DOES NOT in any way helps to decrease your stopping distance!!!

Take care, Patrick
