I agree; if the goal is to be competitive in stock class, then most aftermarket parts are out.

Having said that, the twins are fairly light so maybe "street" Brembos would hold up to track work.

Went to Essex / AP Racing calipers and 2-piece rotors on my Golf R; tucked away the stock h/w for the next owner.
Removed nearly 25 lbs of unsprung weight from the front axle. No regrets

Yep the difference of weight between Subaru 4pots and Brembo's is pretty substantial....light weight brakes do make a difference.
