Default 06 wrx with vf39 needs new restrictor pill?

i was checking out cobb map notes on the vf39 upgrade for my car and they say you need to change the restrictor pill in the vacuum hose and make the hole bigger. is there a place where you can just buy the pill required? i don't want to mess with the original pill just in case i want to take the car back to stock.
thanks!

Buy a stock restrictor pill and have it drilled out, and hang on to the original one.

I'm not sure where you can buy one though..

The restrictor pill is in the VF39 vacume hose line that is connected to the wastegate vacume solenoid. If you leave your stock hose on the TD04...you'll still have the stock set up. You drill
the pill that comes WITH the VF39. Go to a tool supply store and buy the appropriate bit (a couple of bucks). The pill is made of brass (soft) and drills very easily. You don't even have to remove it from the hose. This is very, very simple. No biggie...don't sweat it

My VF39 pill was already at the recommended size of .043. Also... good luck getting a .043 bit into a standard drill....

yes the stock one is correct, you wont have to mod it if yours came with the turbo. But i would try to find the #57 drill bit anyways just to make sure.

If your in Houston you can purchase the drill bits from Bass tool supply , they carry all the drill bits. thats where i purchased my #57 drill bit for my old vf39 setup and new drill bit for my 18G they have like 30 instock of each and are 70 cents each. hope this helps. if you need any help just PM.
