Quick question for anyone who has taken the basic motorcycle safety course. I just finished the course this afternoon. I got home and started looking through the stuff that was given to me and while looking at the 'Motorcycle Operator Training Course Completion Card' I noticed that I've only got one form and then the card on the back. I was under the impression that there would be one sheet for the DMV, one to send to insurance, and the card to keep and carry on me.
Edit: Figured it out. Just one form for the DMV and then the card. Last edited by JBravo920; 06-04-2012 at 05:47 PM. |

I just got a new rear tire (thanks to a hitchhiking lag bolt that decided to stick its stupid thumb into the center of the tire), so now I HAVE to put 40-50 miles on it today to scuff up the tire.
Darn... |

Sounds like a good day then.
Dunno what you got but Cycle gear is running the 199$ set of BT-0016 Pros. You still haven't been to the track? |

No time for the track. I barely have time to sleep with school and work. Today I got lucky, as lab was canceled due to our prof being sick, so I only had class at 7:30. But I haven't had a day off from school or work in a month and a half.
I got a Michelin Pilot 3 from the dealer. Nice and sticky. But it was $170, so it better freaking last. I have a brand new Michelin front tire in my garage and I'm going to patch the old rear tire to see if it holds air so I can use it as a spare if needed. |

I have way more excuses than you do especially over the last year.
I won't throw them in your face but since I have been to the track before I make time. Wife doesn't want to be around me until I've had my track time. |

I figure something happened. You acted like you were really going to hit the track, then I didn't hear from ya. Hope everything is ok.

No pics right now, but I've got a 2010 Street Triple to go along with my 2013 WRX. Absolutely love my bike, would love to roll with some other folks in central Texas.

You should have good luck with the PR3's. Every rider & bike is different, but I got 9k out of the last set on the Sprint ST, which beat the PR2's by a few k miles, and that was much better than the stock Bridgestones. The PR3 mileage included a 3500 mile trip through Colorado last month, covering heat, cold, rain, sleet (Pikes Peak), and some wild fog on Hoosier Pass! I probably could have gone to 10k miles, but a scaffold nail from work decided to go in the center & come out the sidewall. Fun.
The trip was really good though, and I would highly recommend the route & stops. I was following a bicycle race, but covered: Houston-Abilene-Lubbock-Las Vegas NM-Taos-Pagosa Springs-Durango-Ouray-Telluride-Montrose-Gunnison-Crested Butte-Monarch & Independence Passes-Aspen-Snowmass-Redstone-Paonia-Leadville-Beaver Creek-Breckenridge-Pikes Peak-Colorado Springs-Raton NM-Lubbock-Abilene-Houston, in 300-500 mile days. Next year I hope to go back & do some riding north of I-70, too. Oh yeah, and I need to do the Million Dollar Highway again, this time not is a c-o-l-d rainstorm. Helping a friend move to the Ozarks next weekend. He said if I ride his FJR up while he drives the U-haul, he will fly me home. Of course, instead of the direct 600mi route to his new place, I may have to make the trip a bit more, um, scenic! Maybe 3 days & 1200 or so miles would cover much of the fun northern Arkansas roads! |

I don't ride too much on the street but I do a lot of track riding. 2 Tracks close to the DFW area if you are interested. We also have a local street bike club I'm in. But they don't ride too much anymore, just a bunch of old racers that meet up for some beer every month. |

That's not my old bike. I miss it though.
What's with the liter bikes? Get a nice newer 600. It is more than fast enough to kill you. |

Ill never go back to a 600. Liter bikes are so much more fun. Plus the nice and newer 600's are the same exact price as the litre bikes. |
