Her not wanting to learn should have no bearing on your car. Wife, gf, whatever. If she's worried about having to drive your car, she can learn instead of expecting you to bend over backwards to suit her every whim... if she's insistent like that, I'm really sorry, because those women are horrible. My previous girlfriend loved the "princess" treatment, except I KNEW I was the more valuable one in the relationship . Current girlfriend is much better match in terms of personality and desirability, hence I'm marrying her .

Somebody's been hurt. I hear your feels

Unless one car family, I don't get having to get an auto because the spouse wants to drive the husband's car.

Lol, dude don't be a puss. Who are you buying a car for, you or her? Why give away your choice in such a large purchase? I taught my girlfriend how to drive stick last weekend. Once she figured out the range of engagement on the clutch she was golden. She was pretty nervous, but I found a nice area where there where zero other cars, and I had her practice stop'n'starts for an hour.

Take your time and teach her, it's worth it.

We'll have to discuss it; since I've been driving her cars for five years, it's probably only fair she gets to drive mine .
