Hey everyone! We have been somewhat quietly working behind the scenes on a "Stage 3" kit for the 15-17 STI's (2018 models coming late winter/early spring).
For those that may not be aware, we currently have three tunes available for the 15-17 STI's:
Stage 1 tune- For stock vehicles (intake and down pipe)
Stage 1+ for MAP intake
Stage 2 for MAP intake, and down pipe
After Stage 2, it's no surprise that the stock fuel system is at it's limits. Because of that, our Stage 2 tune had to be significantly "turned down" to a safer level. The car did seem to have more in it, but we were limited by the injectors. We decided at that point to look into the next "phase" of development for this platform. We wanted something that was not too intrusive, and fairly easy for the "do-it-yourself" type.
For our Stage 3 kit, we opted for the follow additions:
MAPerformance 4 into 1 Equal Length Header
Cobb Flex Fuel Kit
Injector Dynamics 1050X Injectors
Cobb Accessport
MAP Stage 3 OTS tune
After the installation of the parts, we threw the car back onto the dyno for some testing. We started out with pump gas only, and ended up with E60 which is currently available here at this time.

Test car is our shop 2017 STI with the follow mods:
Cobb Accessport
MAP intake
MAP catless down pipe
MAP cat back with mufflers
MAP Equal Length Header
Cobb Flex Fuel Kit
Injector Dynamics 1050X Injectors
Runs were done on an E60 blend.

From what we are seeing, it seems the stock turbo is pretty much out of steam at this point. But significant gains to note none the less. Specifically the torque gained after the header install.
Green line is our Stage 1 93 octane tune
Red line is our Stage 2 93 octane tune with MAP intake and down pipe (note the improvement in spool time vs. the stock down pipe)
Blue line is our Stage 3 kit on E60

The car feels and sounds HEALTHY, and really does rip out on the road. If there is any interest in this kit, we are starting to look for some beta testers that would be willing to provide some feedback. If so, drop me a PM or email, and we can line something up. We will be looking at at least 5 people. There will be a significant discount on the products, and of course free tunes. We would simply like some feedback on the parts themselves, quality, fitment, install, and of course the tune.
Feel free to drop any questions or ideas you might have!
Thanks for reading,
Ian
