great info Jeff! Glad to see you experimenting with the EFR's. Thanks also to everyone for the positive feedback on the EFR training guide.. I actually worked quite a bit on that, and wanted to help make it a "modern turbo bible" of sorts for the BW turbos. hopefully you will agree!

PS: i just ordered a set of Perrin PSRS for my new project car, i feel like this:

20 degrees side to side. they dont recomend any front to back tilt at all. iirc it says the bearing should be as close to paralell to the ground as possible.

Jeff so you can have both coolant lines on one side and just plug the other side?

im pretty sure the 7670 is the "b" compressor cover and the 8374 is the "c".

Not the comp. housing, the footprint of the exhaust housing!

The coolant will travel around the turbo and will exit on top, so it doesn't really matter. I have 2 video cards water cooled in parallel and they both running same temps

They already make kits, just not updated on their website, they not doing very good at keeping website up to date

I'm not aware of any such claims from Borg-Warner, but a lot of us are speculating that things are going to turn out that way.

They have similar compressor exducer diameters, so we're guessing that they will probably have similar peak power potential. But we won't actually know until Jeff shows us some numbers.

I haven't posted for a while on Nasioc, but I'm very interested in testing these EFR's on subarus and wanted to subscribe

I realize from reading some of his results that Perrin seems to be a very practical engineer but on a side note I would however love to see someone do a custom low mount setup with one of these using TS/IWG in the future.

Same foot print but different hand print.
Compressor housing is bigger diameter and also inlet is 4" versus the 3.5" on the 7670.

I trie that a while ago on my STI and there is two issues. Radiator/ core support and then putting the dp where the uppipe goes.

The new LGT has a completely different subframe and core support allowing for a low mounted turbo to work easier. I always battle with doing something cool and custom versus something that a customer can also do and or it's something we can make. In this case I think I could gave made something work but it's not something a customer could do or a kit we could make. But someday I might say screw it! I'll just chop the rad support and go crazy!

looks like a really tight fit. also looks like a custom down pipe as well. Ive been wondering when someone was going to start playing with these new turbos. Can't wait to see the power figures.

on a side note. Does this mean that other kits will be cheaper now that this turbo is out in the "wild" ?

Since we all know that FR focuses on TS, it should come as no surprise that no testing data has been released.

Personally, I am not going to waste my time or money on a single scroll turbo bigger than a 30r.

AGREED!! Most will not even buy one of these, cannot afford one, or WILL buy one just to ahve it sit for 6 months while they finish the rest of their build

they dont have a pile of turbo's to test. supply is very limited and what they are getting they are shipping to their customers.
