![]() How do you keep making the most powerful headers you can put on a Subaru? Never stop improving! Some of you may already have early versions of our Killer B Motorsport V2 FA20 Headers. Setting the standard for header performance in the Subaru world means you're a target for everyone else, but we don't like second place. What you see here is a collection of cast 321 Stainless Steel collectors, and on an example mated to complete set of 321 Stainless Headers. Castling allows for optimized flow design that simply cannot be obtained with a fabricated tube collector. Casting provides higher strength and long term reliability, compared to a machined collector, because the metal's grain structure is kept intact. Stay tuned, more to come!

![]() ![]() ![]() If you look at our pricing vs the competition and understand the cost differential when using 321 stainless, you can see our margins are not spectacular. Certainly not as good as out competitors. From the customer's perspective it means the value for this product is very good considering what you're getting for your dollar. Using the casting saves some time at fit-up, but the tooling costs mean we won't break even for years. I'm in it for the long haul as I believe the FA will be around for years beyond that (fingers crossed). |

![]() It's all good.
Actually oiling products are, but I do have a profound fascination with fluid dynamics. The cuts are a pain, but not bad once you get tooled-up for them. What I don't like about tube collectors is the significant amount of variability due to the fabrication process. That and you just can't fabricate a decent high velocity merge from tube, or at least not without some fairly exotic forming capabilities. The casting also assures the merge is super sooth on the inside. |

![]() I mean like it's your high dollar item that you don't make for profit, but rather to show off engineering and manufacturing chops. Oiling is your bread and butter. Think Veyron for VW.

Swain Tech on the other hand is a 3 week process, plus shipping, usually adds about a month to the lead-time. It performs awesome if your budget and time-line permit. |

![]() Quick question --- Sorry about reviving a old dead thread
I have your EWG header and before installing I was wondering if the OEM studs used for the header are the same as j-pipe studs? I ask because I like to plan for the worst and figured I would order an extra set of studs and nuts in case the OEM ones break/strip/ect. Essentially I'm wondering if I should/could just order an extra set of j-pipe studs to use for my header install while I'm ordering a set for my j-pipe install. |
