![]() '16 STI 45k miles. Leaks power steering fluid, cold full to empty in a couple tank of gas (450ish mi). Subaru dealer told me $1200 to replace the leaky rack and pinion but it ended up being $1,800. They charged me for the alignment too, shouldn't that be included in the parts and labor for the rack and pinion already? Let me know how much you have been charged for this please. My service advisor also said Subaru may kick in and help since its so fresh out of warranty but he was on vacation when I went in to do the service. Should I contact the dealership service manager or SOA first? I feel like I got way overcharged. Maybe I'm wrong, let me know!

![]() Instead of asking here, you could have done a simple Google search and get a direct answer as opposed to people's guesses
https://www.cashcarsbuyer.com/rack-a...%20replacement. and, No, an alignment, which is needed after this, would not be included. It's an additional charge / service |
