You should always get an alignment whenever you alter your springs or struts in any fashion, no matter what the brand. You will want to let the spring settle for a couple of weeks before you get the alignment. EPIC Engineering posted up some recommended alignment specs on their announcement thread here:

Thinking about these EPIC springs for my 05 STI. However I am sick of the Stiff ride of lowered springs. My car currently has lowered springs on it and it rides like a truck. Bumps make the dash sound like an explosion just went off. Enough is Enough. I don't track the car any more.

I am looking for a spring that is actually softer than OEM, with just a bit of drop up front to help close the gap. So far no one is making a spring for true daily drivers. Anyone want to compare how stiff these springs are on the STI compared to OEM and say compared to a WRX OEM?

Thanks

if ur looking into the epic springs well look no further. they are absolutley incredible. I did ton of research and finally got the epic springs for my 06 wrx. you can see my before and after pics on the previous page. its the blue wrx. you can clearly see how awesome the car drops. as far as ride quality goes, they are just perfect for daily driving which is exactly what I was looking for. I'm married so the last thing i needed was my wife to sit in the car with me and after few mins telling me umm please let me out, ill take a cab.

Chk out WorldOne peroformance and speak to armin. i got mine from him. when i explained to him what i was looking for exactly, without any hesitation he recomm the epic springs. i coudnt be any happier.....just an awesome guy to deal with and he'll hook you up with great price. hope this helps your decision.

Thanks for your impressions of these springs. Sounds good. As I said I am sooo tired of stiff springs. There just is no need for springs to be as stiff as they are these days. So again would you say your car rides as soft as it did on the OEM springs?

Thanks

So, I found a site that still carries the Prodrive springs for the STI. Anyone that has used the Prodrive springs? Or better yet anyone who has used both the Epic and the Prodrive springs that could compare the difference.

Thanks

I'm sure Dan will correct me if I'm wrong, since he worked for Prodrive, but the spring rides are very similar. The Epics are lower.
If you want softer springs, go to WRX OEM springs.

Thanks. Can't use the WRX springs on an STI, they don't fit. So you are saying that the Epic springs lower the car more than the Prodrives.

Thanks

I installed Epic springs on OEM WRX struts last week. I'm still waiting for them to finish settling. My initial impression is that the car is a bit more responsive in cornering but also a touch more harsh over bumps, both of which are to be expected.

For people curious about the drop, this is the front fender gap immediately before and after installation:

Dang...well im sold. I've been juggling suspension in my head for months now about what to do...springs.....coilovers...that cost HUGE $$. My car is a daily driver of about 65 miles, Looks like im gonna be Epic'in too. So if im gonna get new struts....should i just get factory issue with these instead of some nicer ones? New to suspension so enlighten me.

^Get some KYB GR2s and some scooby 921 spacers from turninconcepts.com

I installed Epics and GR2s about a month ago after one of my 5yr old Eibach prokit springs broke.

The car definetly handles better than before. The ride is similiar, but the car does not roll as much in corners as it did with the eibachs.

The springs have also now settled nicely too. At first the car looked really jacked up in the rear to me, but part of that was probably because I use to the saggy butt look of the eibachs.

Another option is Koni inserts.
I'm not sure how much they cost but I do have quite a few customers using this setup and they all seem to be very happy.

I got the springs install this last Sunday and have 125 miles on them at this point. I am very impressed with the ride quality so far, I expected it be harsher. The ride height is perfect, and the front and rear wheel wells really look even now.

I installed them in about four hours forty five min. with a friend (Our first time).
No major problems with the install and it went pretty smooth.

So far I am very happy with my spring choice and glad that I went with the Epic's. Thanks Dan for making such a sweet set of springs.

I promise that I will get some before and after pictures as soon as the rain clears.

Also if I could get a dye cut black Epic sticker, I would rock it.

Yes, you'll just need 04+ WRX rear strut tops

I agree...some BUGEYE wagon pics would be fantastic.

Considering going with these and some new struts. Now I just have to figure out which struts to go with. WorldOne, do you have a spring and strut combo with wagon specific struts?

I really need to say some more great things about my Epic springs. The car now has 1000 miles and it amazes me that Subaru didn't put springs like these on as a stock part. What were they thinking when they put that great engine on granny suspension? This product has made my wagon what it should have been from the start.

My wagon handles perfect and the whole front end lift and dip thing (porpoising) is nearly gone. The ride is nowhere near as harsh as some lowered subies I have been in. The rear never gets away from itself, like it did before. I do have a 22mm rear sway and end links, they were in before the springs went on. They were a nice upgrade, but the Epic springs put it over the top.

As for looks (FYI 0 saggy butt) I really don't need to say anything more, just look at the pictures a few posts back of my wagon. It makes me smile every time I walk up to it.

I just needed to thank Dan again for a great product, it has made me fall in love with my wagon all over again.

EPIC Engineering FTW!

+1 we need to see some bugeye's on here.

Im glad all the wagon owners are happy with the springs from Epic.

Bordwgn, i would suggest some decent -camber up front and a ALK and youll be PRRRIIIME for a DD...Your setup is identical to mine and i know exactly what your explaining!

im starting to miss my wagon deeply......sucks...

evoX still isnt making me as happy as i should be! Maybe cause its stock height??? hahahah
