I have owned my 2007 WRX since new and it took this long before I finally decided to do a spring swap. Certain factors such as warranty, rough roads, snow and curb driveways has played a factor in not doing this mod. Well, I finally got tired of the 4 finger gap off road look and decided to do some research. I spent a lot time on NASIOC and other subie forums reading pros & cons and testimonials of owners of various spring installs. I checked out RCE, Teins, Tanabe, Cobbs, Mach V, Swift, etc and out of all of them, Prodrive seemed to have fit the bill. Unfortunately, trying to find the Prodrive springs were basically non-existent. It was welcome news to discover that Epic springs are designed by the same engineer and shared the almost same characteristics as the Prodrive spring. Armin @ World One made it too easy and economical to have the springs shipped to Canada within a week. After install, everything I have read about the Epic springs are true. I got a moderate drop in front and rear, the front is now a two finger gap which makes the car stance look much better. I noticed cornering to be flatter and the ride just a bit stiffer, not a huge change from stock. There was no weird suspension noise and went through bumps and dips as normal. I have yet to bottom out, even going up the curb driveway wasn’t a problem, although now I notice that my mud guards scrap on speed bumps and I had to re-adjust my headlights are minor tradeoffs.
Thanks to Dan@Epic and Armin@ World One for a great product.

Default Epic Engineering Springs/ 07 WRX Wagon

Is there no worry that these arent wagon specific springs when installing them on one?

As you can see from many replies on this thread, including the original poster, these springs work WONDERFULLY on a wagon and there's no need for a wagon-specific fitment

Default EPIC springs on stock 2007 WRX rims...

It's been approximately 3 weeks since i completed the install of my EPIC springs and rear sway bar...... couldn't be happier. No clunking, no squeaking.... nothing. I have noticed that there is substantially less body roll and there is no more front end "nose dive" under hard breaking..

Here is how it turned out.

I had the Epic springs installed today on my 03 WRX wagon.

I also could not be happier.
Stance is good, handling is improved.

Very recommendable product

With an 18x9 +42, you shouldn't have any problems rubbing against the suspension, especially if you run the slightly stretched 235/40/18. If anything, you MIGHT have rubbing on the fender side, but definitely not on the suspension side.

What is the difference between these and STi pinks? Right now i have an 05 WRX sedan with KYB AGX's (Set on 1) and STi pink springs, are the epic going to be softer? Right now ive got a pretty stiff ride.

Since we've designed the EPIC Engineering springs for the WRX style struts in mind, it's definitely going to feel much more comfortable than the STI pink springs that you're running now. The STI pinks are designed for the dampening of the STI's struts, which of course is very different than that of the WRX. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Awesome thanks, but i have the pink AGX gas struts that fit the 02/03 models with the spacer that make them work with 04/05 models, these struts are much harder then stock. By switching from pinks to epics will that still improve my ride comfort?

interesting, I am hoping for this; epics on 245/35/18

Not sure if that is gonna squeeze in on a 07 wrx, fenders will be rolled. I think for normal driving its okay, but hard turns on bumps its gonna rub.

I'm throwing on some epic springs on my sti on Sunday. I'm running 18x9's +28with 235/40/18 goodyear eagle all seasons. They look more like a 245 or 255 tire though. Rear fenders were just rolled and camber bolts will also be used to squeeze out all the camber I can get. I'll post the results next week.

How well do these springs work for autocross? I've been reading some reviews that lowering springs can cause you to hit bump stops under hard cornering, can anyone that has used these springs for autocross confirm/deny that claim?

I'm looking for springs that will work well with my stock 03 struts and eliminate the ridiculous wheel gap, but will not negatively affect handling because they lower the car too much.

I have done one event with my springs on and they did handle well IMO. I don't feel as though they were harsh, or that they rattled me too much. This is a hard question for anyone to answer as all cars are different, but I loved mine. I am really looking forward to this year events on my springs.

I picked up a set of springs and the rear sway... I put the sway bar on so far and haven't had a chance to put the springs on yet... but I've noticed a significant difference at the limit with the rear sway compared to the stock one... turn in is much better and the car doesn't plow anymore at the limit that's i've tried so far... it's much better on turns... I have yet to put the springs on and see how it is with that...

A friend and I installed the Epic's on my 07 STI last monday. I really like the improved ride and handling.

Only question I have is, how long does it take for these to settle? I'm not even close to a 25mm drop in the front.

Excellent! It typically takes about 2-3 weeks for the springs to settle, but please keep in mind that the 04-07 STI springs do not lower the car quite as much as the WRX springs. For photos of the final drop for the STI springs, please see this review thread:

Well, to be honest, 235/40/18 is going to stretch a bit on an 18x9, so you very well offset the good handling our springs are designed for by running a tire that skinny. However, and offset around +40 should put an 18x9 more or less flush with the fenders. Anything less could very well stick out past the fenders. The 08+ STI can pull off 18x9 +35 and be pretty much exactly flush, but that just isn't the case with the 02-07 body styles.

Just received my Epic springs and camber bolts today! ::dancing banana::

Going on this

17x8 +48 245/40/17

I'll post up pics once they're on next weekend.

My only complaint: That the springs didn't come with an awesome sticker to put on my helmet... :P
