Default what is this part called?

I was changing my oil and noticed a part was leaking. I have an 02 wrx, and it is located right by the filter and has a wire attached to it. It is shaped like a bell and only leaks when the car is running. I'd post a pic but I'm posting this from my phone.

Sounds like an aftermarket oil pressure sensor, do you have gauges?
If that's what it is, the fix will depend on where the leak is coming from. Could be the sensor itself (replace sensor), leaky threads (remove and reseal), or a leaky sandwich adapter (remove and reseal or replace).
But, a pic would really help here.

Definitely not a stock piece, if you running gauges and would like to keep the gauges, By a new sandwich adapter. Personally i would just remove the adapter, it's not worth the hassle.
