![]() I see nothing wrong with the Honda. I like these cars a lot, especially the 4 doors. Reliable as all hell, good gas mileage, and will still zip through the corners.

![]() The MUGEN SI is a wayyy overpriced POS econobox with cosmetic pieces that honda ricers will drool over and try to steal. not worth it at all.
for similar price id rather have an STi or EVO. your better off just getting the run of the mill Si sedan instead. |

![]() i had a 2007 si. performance wise it get crushed by a wrx in every way. its interior is miles ahead of subaru though and the seats are ridiculously comfortable. the mpg/perfromance ratio is perfect on them. i got 30 mpg on mine and i drove it pretty hard. the mugen doesnt perform a whole hell of a lot better than the regular si so unless youre getting it because of the novelty you might as well just do some performance upgrades on an si and come out on top either way.

![]() The k-series respond very well to mods for an NA 2.0. 230whp with the right bolt on setup is not unheard of. More or less a pre 09 stg 2 wrx, and weighs sub 3k lbs.
Driving it personally makes me miss my Spec C swapped WRX. Nothing like spinning up to 8600rpm, pulling all the way to redline. Plus they sound way better then the old b-series motors. They also do extremely well on boost. I have seen numerous cars make 450whp all day, on pumpgas, stock block.. Like AWD said, the interior is very nice. And no creaks, or rattles, like every Subaru I have ever been in..lol It isn't for everyone, but I can say I am happy with mine. I needed something to DD, my wife could drive, and use for running errands, that would be super reliable, and still fun. I wouldn't even consider another subaru, so if I went with an evo, for the price I got my 08 20k mile SI, it would have 100k+ miles. |

![]() Test drove the car today and was pretty impressed. Car handles nice, interior is way nicer than my WRX and has some decent upper end power. Low end is definitely slower than the WRX, but doing a pull up the onramp I think it might be a little faster than my WRX on the upper end.
I gave the guys some info on my trade in and if they make me a good deal I might jump on it. But if they cant I think Ill just wait a little more and buy a 11 WRX wagon. |

![]() my biggest complaint was that it was body roll prone but so is a wrx without mods.

![]() I just did some swift springs and it feels great. Those on the mugen dampers would be killer. It doesn't lower the car all That much, but enough, and They ride great.

![]() So I must look really stupid. I went in telling them I was interested in the car because it was fairly cheap and if I could lower my payment (450) I would be interested.
The test drive was nice and I asked them for a ballpark figure on what they could do. I dont want them running my credit unless Im going to actually buy the car. I run my own credit regularly so I know what it is. They come back with an offer of 1600 down and 600 a month....... for a 20k car. I know they cant give me a definitive answer without going through the whole process, but really! Ive been quoted around that for a new STi and a new Evo and cheaper for a year old G37 and 328i. I walked out. Not sure if Im willing to give them another shot. |

![]() Thats why you secure your own loan chase, your a member of USAA arnt yeah. Im assuming you have decent credit, you can get a used car rate as low as 6%, I assume you are trying to go for 36 months when they came back with that number, hugh
