Default has anybody changed from unichip to utec with same mods

I may be going to a utec stage 2 from my unichip stage 2, but I'm curious what I can expect as far as a performance boost, if any. I realize the utec is superior in every way as far as management, but when it comes down to acceleration, comparing the standard stage 2 program on the unichip to the tweakable stage 2 of the utec, can I expect faster times? I'm curious to hear form others who have upgraded but kept their same "stage".

I'm trying to justify the $$ given the fact that I don't plan on modding past the stage 2 I'm at now

If you are happy with your unichip, then keep it and spend the 1000 bucks on your wife/girlfriend.

This is not to say that there isn't a performance difference, but a perfectly running unichip car and a perfectly running UTEC car are going to make close to if not the same power.

Boost is boost...Air is air...fuel is fuel...spark is spark, and if you add those factors in the same quantity no matter what engine management you use you are likely to get the same results.

With all of that said, if you want to tune your own car, you’ve got a grand sitting around that you really want to send us, and you’ve taken good care of your significant other this year. Feel free
