Anybody forced to go from a WRX to a Scion Tc?
"Forced" isn't quite right but a Tc is the daily driver that I'm now considering. Test driving one today...

I hope you don't have wide/big feet.
I didn't buy one because I couldn't get my damned foot between the brake pedal and center console on the 5-speed. |

You couldn't pay me enough to drive a Scion. The commercials alone are enough to make me puke. The WRX gets great gas mileage, goes well in the snow, and is reasonably fast.

I know my roommate's Rex0r gets under 18 mpg, whereas my '98 Tacoma gets 24 mpg, and I drive it like an a-hole. |

18mpg??? Does he keep it in boost even while sitting at a red light? Daaammmnnn...
I average 24.5mpg. That's 50/50 highway/city driving. I'm sure if I were alone on I-95 south toward FL I could squeeze out a 500 mile tank. |

I also had a problem with the pedal placement- which probably steered me into a hard search for a SVTF. as for the SC unit- I wouldn't hold my breath
other than that, I liked the car overall- for some reason, I thought the ability for everything to fold flat was cool speed safely Brian |

I am getting really interested in the new civic SI (197hp, 6mt, 8k RPM, f-lsd). I would take it over the Scion (yes Scion will only need 87 but if you are going to get the SC for the Tc, then fuel economy is not your main concern anyway)
That is if low-torque FWD coupe is your thing... |

Oh, yeah. I forgot you guys get more that 91 octane piss water out on the east coast. CA gas is seriously watered down.

I'd rather walk than drive a front-wheel drive car.

I used to average 350 to a tank on my WRX, and could get close to 400 if I waited until the gas light was on to gas up.
