Default P1591 6mt into 02 wagon code

well, I completed my swap and everything seems to be working well except my reverse lights and I have a CEL which autozone says is P1591 (neutral position switch circuit low input: probable causes 1. open or short circuit condition 2. poor electrical connection 3. failed neutral position switch.

Now everything plugged up fine in the switches except for the one plug that contains the dccd on the 6mt. From my research it looked to me like I was supposed to plug my four pin into the left side (if I'm standing at the front of the car facing the windshield) of the 6 pin plug. did I do this wrong?
thanks inadvance!
Danny
