Default 07 interior swap into an 02...

So I have multiple questions, I know theres a few threads that cover some of this but I couldn't find all of my answers in search / google (I could just be searching the wrong words as well)

I'm thinking of swaping a 05+ interior into my 02.
-07 Center Console (including e-brake)
-05+ 6 disk changer
-Stock 02 HVAC
-TR Trim piece to complete the consol look
-05+ WRX Wagon seats (Front/Back to get rid of the blue)
-05+ Door Cards (see below)

Here are my concerns:

05+ center console does not have the mirror adjustors, they're on the door panels. Is it easy to move the wiring to over there? Is there a writeup on this?

Do I have to swap my dash as well, or just the things listed above.

I will end up probably doing the STI gauge pod at some point but holding off till the last thing (probably after the clock defi gauges).

Also are the side vent's the same from 02-07? (the circle vents that direct towards the driver / passenger)?

I used this
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/interior...-write-up.html
this
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1079135
and this
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1009422

to do mine. It went really smooth actually!!
I bought the door cards and rewired the mirror controls to the drivers door it was really easy. I have also seen people dremel a spot for the mirror controls in the 05+ center console side ways in front of the DCCD controls. So there are two options..

when i did my panels, i just left the mirror controls empty and left the ones on my center alone.. less hassle and i don't really mind

for your panels, you will need the tweeter and door brackets.. everything else should be cake

I thought about doing that, but I want to do it once and have it be out of mind. If I can get everything at once, why not spend the extra time doing it?

Is the dash different in 02 than 07 or is it the same part #?

I think there are slight differences if you are referring to part 1 in this picture

because in the catalog there is a part # for 02-03 and 04-07

So heres the update on what's gone on with this idea

Orig Idea:
I'm thinking of swaping a 05+ interior into my 02.
-07 Center Console (including e-brake)
-05+ 6 disk changer
-Stock 02 HVAC
-TR Trim piece to complete the console look
-05+ WRX Wagon seats (Front/Back to get rid of the blue)
-05+ Door Cards (see below)

What Actually Happened So far:
-07 STi Center Console (including STi e-brake)
-Stock CD Changer (for now, see below)
-Stock 02 HVAC
-TR Trim piece to complete the console look
-05 Black Cloth WRX Wagon seats (Front/Back to get rid of the blue)
-05 Black Cloth Door Cards (to match the seats)

It's almost exactly what I was picturing, i found all of the pieces used except the TR trim piece. So far after selling my old seats, I'm out $400.00 for the whole interior swap and have the whole center console still. During this swap I put 06 STi door cards in for a week and the blue really didn't fit well with what I was looking for, so those were sold as well.

Next steps:
-05 STi Steering Wheel w/ cruse control
-3 Gauge Defi BFs or Defi GeNomes (thinking of going all red lighting)
-04 STi Gauge Cluster
-Touch Screen DVD Player
-STi chrome interior door handles
-S204 shift knob if I ever get a Sti Transmission

^^ thats the expensive part though, so it might take me awhile.

I know a lot of people dislike the 05 seats over the 02 seats, but they actually are more comfortable for me. I don't rallycross or autocross my car so I don't need the extra 5% harder side supports

That is probably the biggest reason why I switched. go from 1 decent cup holder that your elbow hits when shifting into 2nd and 4th to 2 nice cup holders up front and 2 nice cup holders for the rear seats.

And the e-brake is on the correct side now!
