Hey guys. I'm new to the area here and looking for a good shop to get some work done. Specifically looking for a place to do a valve job for a 2006 WRX. The head is already pulled and ready to go so I can just drop it off wherever. I'm around Troy but don't mind a little driving if it means better work. Thanks!

People usually go to Automotive Machine in Fraser for that but they are usually really busy.

Stop sending folks to AM and they won't be so busy, that is all.

Also were having the usual monthly meetup at Griffin Claw Brewing in Birmingham at 1pm this Sunday !

Look for a group of cars parked way in the back by the distillery.

Its a tight track and hard on the brakes

I hope they will have test and tune nights to dial in suspension.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Every OTD is going to be an arm and a leg. The only positive to this are the Cars & Coffee events as well as less traffic at Waterford hills now LOL

Speedholes what were you driving? The track is tight, but actually fun to me. I'd like to go back with the car prepped. I didn't check tire pressures and was running...........wait for it...........RE.............01's! Because 80% tread remains but time to upgrade. Didn't install brake ducts and did not boil fluid like Scott Bentham running in group 1 in the silver STI. I pretty much was man handling the car in a couple of corners.

The fact that it rained and turned areas off track into muck didn't help for off track excursions. I lost a session due to the Hyundai going in the muck. Didn't realize the 15 minute black flag wasn't cancelling the remainder of the session. When I finally got the new phone capturing video and times, and it was my last session. They say track is 1.5 miles, I only used 1.38 miles, lol.

There are some things to sort out. Having 60+ cars there was a mess in the pits. I thought they could have made better use of the skid pad. Groups 1/2 typically heavy tow vehicle users could have gridded on the skid pad and groups 3/4 up by the pavilion. I think that would have helped enormously. Hope is that they pave a larger area up by the pavilion north east to allow more area for cars, tow rigs, etc.

Rain didn't help as it turned the dirt areas to muck, car swallowing muck. Lol once the dirt settles and grass grows it should be much better off the pavement.

Top notch place otherwise.

Is there a good tuning shop in the area? I could use a fresh engine map for this thick, low elevation air.

People like to go to BCP for tuning or Corbin Johnson.

Holy price batman! :/

Just an FYI I sold my ej207 swapped Bugeye for $12500

Had 0 rust and took 6 months to find a buyer! You may be holding on to your RS for a while.

Sad part is I have about 20k invested :/ but we'll see what I have to do with the price, the only thing it's missing is an engine since it has the full sti drivetrain rather than 5-speed and I'm including the full 5-speed drivetrain along with it.

That would be considered after winter probably, but if takes that long idk if I can keep the mentality of wanting to sell it, I have way too much emotional investment too.
