2003 Outback auto trans issue/question : hesitates when I let off gas pedal
Hopefully this is the correct place to post this. Couldn’t quite see the forum thread layout.
We have a 2003 Outback auto transmission 152K miles. 2.5 4Cyl Recently it seems while driving when you let off the gas there is a drag like it’s in a lower gear, then after say 20 seconds or so it will more free wheel to a higher gear. Is this normal. It’s my wife’s car, she drives it. She describes it as hesitation, but it’s not that. I checked the ATF fluid, it was a bit low, I topped it off. If this is not normal, is this a transmission issue or possible a vacuum hose or wire off somewhere? Hopefully this makes sense. If not please ask questions. Thanks Spiney-Dave
