Hiroki's Guide to Shopping in Japan
So, I've got a few pm's regarding how to peruse the Japanese yahoo auctions. Simple really, so I'll lay out a few steps. I used to do this back when I was in Canada and there's not much headache.
Here's the site: http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/ At the top search bar, input this phrase "***12473;***12496;***12523; ***12524;***12460;***12471;***12451;" That's Subaru Legacy for the non-Japanese literate. Now, if you input this phrase as is, you'll get hundreds of pages. Throw in your chassis code to refine them further. So, "***12473;***12496;***12523; ***12524;***12460;***12471;***12451; BE" in my case. Granted, you may also find some hits if you just put in "Subaru Legacy" Anyways, if you see something you like theres only a few options in what you can do. Most of these guys here will not be willing to ship internationally. Therefore you will need two things: a Japanese address to receive the goods and a broker to arrange shipping. There are hundreds of exporters which will provide both for a small fee. Doing a simple google search will yield a plethora of choices. So do your bidding, ( I think international yahoo accounts will also work there as well) and arrange it with your broker. Shipping will come in two methods obviously. By sea or by air. Now unless you are fiending for these parts, air freight will be prohibitively expensive. Sea freight will take about 3 weeks port to port including customs clearance. These minor details will be different for anyone but its just paperwork at your end. Good luck, have fun and dont hesitate if you've got questions. Lets hope I dont regret typing this later if you guys end up poaching the stuff I have my eye on. ***12364;***12435;***12400;***12387;***12390;***12414;***12377;***65281;
