Default 2016 Impreza for 2013 WRX?

Hi I currently have a 2016 Impreza Hatchback that I bought used a year ago. I wanted to add some modifications to gain power but it seems like itís smarter to just buy a WRX. I was looking at the 2013 Impreza WRX hatchback because itís a hatchback and less expensive than my current Impreza. Is that a good idea though reliability wise? My Impreza has been perfect, would three years make much of a difference?
