Some pics of our new data monitors. An almost production version here with only a few minor details to be worked out. Should be released soon. It basically reads everything off the ECU plus a whole lot more.
Just rotate your monitor for this one.

Thanks, I went with CF because to me it looks nicer than the s204... I can paint my pieces black and save $300... with a $10 can of spray paint...lol I did however get the s204 HVAC knobs and shifter trim, -Nigel |

There is a pod mount and din mount version available. The din mount mounts just like the factory Subaru din pocket (because the unit is actually in one). |

For those with the autometer dual bezel pod, how the hell did you get the bottom brackets to work. The supplies screws dont even grab onto the bracket as supplied. I'm at a loss.

Nope, and i do need them, the bezel is bouncing all over the place, its driving me insane. I went and got some bigger screws to try or ill just jbweld a nut to the bracket and do it that way. I'll post pictures some day, ive got my knock link remoted mounted leds in the center lower part of the pod. Works well!
-edit- Even wired up a simple transistor buffer circuit to properly drive super brite leds off the knocklink bargraph IC and added an audio output to boot so i can listen to the knock sensor on the tape deck Last edited by Synx; 06-28-2006 at 09:52 PM. |

They are tough to get started, but hold well once you get them in. Just push hard to start them.

Here's my Defi setup with carbon fiber gauge pod and center console mounted control box. You can see my wiring tips and pics in the electircal & lighting forum too. I have the gauges wired so they only turn on with the key turned to "ON" / "RUN" instead of "ACC" so the gauges opening sweep also happens at exactly the same time as the stock gauges, not to mention you don't have a low pressure warning going off if you want to listen to your radio with the car off.
As can be seen in the last two photos, I mounted the Defi control box in the perfect spot for ease of reach while being out of the way and also allowing for easy concealed running of the gauge sensors and other wires under the center console trim. |
