Default Openecu.org or UTEC Delta

Alright guys, what do you think I should do? Sell my brand new never used TXS UTEC Delta on here and just use openecu.org? Or should I keep the utec delta and feel guilty about spending 1000 dollars. I figure if I sell my UTEC I might be able to get 7-800 out of it on ebay if I'm lucky, and that money would go towards a vf turbo and a fuel pump. So I guess my real question is, does openecu.org have the same capabilities tuning-wise as the utec delta? What do you guys reccomend that I do? Please give me some info + opinions.

-Colin

Do you need all the extra features of the UTEC? Launch control, map switching, speed density, etc.???

If not, I don't see any reason to keep the UTEC. The open source tools are very powerful in the right hands, tuning wise I would say it is just as capable as the UTEC. *Note: I don't have as much experience with the UTEC as I do with enginuity.*

Keep the UTEC, use the opensource stuff as well. You get the best of all worlds, basically netting you a standalone system that will pass emissions and cost you a few hundred less.

id probably say sell the UTEC, as that $7-800 will get you more worth in the form of a turbo then it will with the UTEC. Then if you decide you like the UTEC stuff, you can get a used one for like $3-400.

Keep the Delta. As everyone else has said, you can use the OpenECU along with the Delta. The Delta is a great engine management choice.

Your not going to find a TXS Delta for $300-400. A UTEC will NOT work on the '06+ cars which is why TXS released the Delta. The cheapest I have seen a Delta go for was around $800, and I have only seen ONE for sale.

Goddamnit you gotta be kidding me. I KNEW something was off. I ordered it from JSCspeed.com, and I KNOW I clicked 04 WRX, it says it on the receipt. So waited a loooong time to try to put it on, so when I finally made my attempt, I found out four ecu studs were missing (I was reading the directions for the regular utec (the directions they sent me), so they were missing, and there were these weird velcro straps. So, I put everything back together and sealed it up without the UTEC installed. I called and told them I had the delta (thinking I was supposed to have the delta) and they said "yeah the delta just uses the velcro strips". So, I still haven't put it on out of laziness. Jesus, will I even be able to use my utec? JSCspeed has a thirty day policy for returns (even with the receipt I can't return it because it's been thirty days). What to do!?!?!?
