Just lurking but I saw your post and had to say Hi. I drove up Pikes Peak this past September 22nd! That was fun. I took lots of pictures at the top and on the way down.

Hey Gary! Haven't seen you in a long time! I miss seeing that nice Supra.

Will you be out at Big Event in Houston this weekend? If so, I'll be at the Scoobies for Boobies tent again.

Oh, here's one for you. Saturday morning at Cars and Coffee! It's at Oak Hills Church. If you want to meet some Subies you can show up to the Pre-meet at the Academy Sports and Outdoors at 4071 N Loop 1604 W. They will be rolling out from their to C&C around 6:55 so show up before if you want to park with everyone at it

I'm currently on night shift at get off at 6am, so, that's not really an option for me, since I have to sleep. I've been to C&C a few times, even stopped by Academy beforehand, but unfortunately, I'm usually at work when it happens. Though, I really do try and make it out when I'm available. I usually roll out with a couple guys from my side of town. I've had my RSTi up there before a couple of times, but not enough that anyone who doesn't know me would actually recognize my car. Arguably, I'm more the type of guy to sit around and BS with other people over beers than go to a huge meetup like that. If I'm not working for the next one, hopefully I can make it out. I haven't been in quite a while.

Could be me? I've been a "waver" since 2004 and meet the criteria mentioned.

As you can see, I'm a lurker and don't really post. I was looking through this thread for a mechanic recommendation for a friend, but didn't really see what I was looking for. I heard of a guy off wurzbach parkway and perrin beitel, but I couldn't locate him on the interwebs.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a Subie specific shop on the east side of town called Six Star Auto Repair.

Thanks. How are they compared to Gillman Subaru? They were recommended to me as well (different forum)

Appreciate the recommendation. I'm class of '08 - what year are you (based on your user name)?

I have heard and read of Six Star but I usually wrench everything on my car. Wouldn't mind checking them out one day. No tuner/dyno at their place?

Would have been '01 if I'd stuck around but I left after a year to go start playing around with computers
