Buuuut: I'm too active, and I have a dog that seems to never stop shedding in the summers. If my current fozzy is a total loss I'll probably keep an eye out on the west coast for a clean, lower mileage FXT Ltd in a 5 speed. Being a slope worker I have the time to drive it up to AK, and my girlfriend and I can share her car if necessary.

That's why I like leather seats, because hair is way easier to clean up. I had a dog once or twice in my 08 Forester with the sports cloth and it was LAME.

Legacy GT wagon, yo!

I would love an LGT wagon, but they seem ALOT harder to find in clean condition in a 5MT.

But, none of this matters if the car can be repaired.

True true. No more fantasizing for you! Now back to reality.

And I'm sorry you got in an accident. They're always such inconvenient things.

Nice day out! I can see all the dust on both of our cars. Might clean both inside and out, after a Costco trip.

EDIT: All purddy!!

Didn't know whether to put this in WGMG or not, so I decided here...So, first off, as stated before, I love my random noise making 20k car, which is why this is so irritating. So, went to P3 for a leak check, determined that the throttle body gasket was leaking bad, so.....I replaced it, easy(granted I had issues with the coolant lines and needle nose). Since I bought the car 'used' from Seattle, there were a few things me and Seth were 'WTF was he thinking' about. Of note were the heavy gauge ground wires (4ga and 8ga) connecting the front strut bolt to the battery and the block to the battery. While I was doing the TBG, I thought to myself "Gee...Let's clean up the engine bay a lil'", so I removed the ground cables, thinking as Seth and I did, that they were a lightning kit (because of where it was from). Went to go to work this morning, made it about a mile, before the Evo went into safe mode and wouldn't go above 2K.

Immediately I was like "WTF?!?" and a lot of other quaint terms at 530 AM... Limped the car home at a whooping 10 MPH, into my driveway, and googled various Evo threads about it. They all said, it was either the Throttle Speed Controller or just unplug the ECU. Went with the ECU being an optimistic, unplugged it, and low and behold, it ran like normal...Went in and washed my hands, being irritated, and began my drive again. Hit Chevron getting my smokes and such (I know I know...bad habit), and all was good. Got back into the car and turned on my lights(stock HID headlights btw), and right as I was about to leave and hit the Hwy, it sputtered and went into safe mode again, or as I'm calling it now, WTH did you just do to me, mode. Limped back 8 miles to the house again, pissed at this point, and just took my wife's truck into Rich. Thought about the night prior, and thought about the cables, which were the only thing that would have been different this morning. Got home today and reinstalled the ground cables, and low and behold!!!! everything works as if nothing was ever wrong!....

So! My curious thought is, WTF do ground cables of that caliber, have anything to do with the system or "extra load" from the OEM headlights and harnesses...Still irritated slightly, as it makes no sense to me... Grrrrrrrrr.........

I know...rant...sue me...

Bwhahaha. Sorry I laugh. However I had the similar experience.

The car was running terrible after I did a bunch of stuff to it. Sputtering out and going into safe mode, misfiring. In the end, it was because I failed to tighten down the ground wires on top of the intake manifold.

Lol I learned to drink less when working on the car because of this. I was so close to putting the car on sale.
