Question Erratic Idling??!!??

Hello to everyone! This is my first post. I just got my PS WRX sedan 2 days ago so I'm just gettin' started (unfornately, my first post isn't perfomance oriented - but we'll get right to that real soon!)
I've noticed that when the car is idling, it vvaries from perfectly smooth (no vibration) to some weird "lumpiness"...almost as if I had some huge-ass cams. What gives?!! Is this normal for everyone or should I look into it? Please let me know...thanks!

Mine does the same.... figured it was some nature of the flat4 engine

I'm hardly an authority , but I believe its more a matter of the exhaust manifold design, rather than the flat four. The manifold sorts clumps together some exhaust pulses and space out others, making a somewhat lumpy tone, even more pronounced with a non-stock (louder) exhaust.

Yeah, mine does the same thing. It drove me a little nuts the first few weeks, I even took it back to the dealer. They didn't seem to find a problem.
