A really good friend of mine from work just dropped off one of the last remaining new 4.6l ford racing supercharger blocks in the country with them to be punched out to 5.0. That 10 grand worth of bottom end to be blue printed, balanced and assembled with his new dohc heads and cams...he's looking for 900 whp and 8's this year. I will be taking my block to them.

Looks like we might have some competition! Our current shop car (owners personal car) is a built 4.6 in a 96 Cobra. It was supercharged when he bought it, sold the little Vortec and built a turbo set up for it. He's looking for 850+whp and to maybe get in the 8's. its staying a street car, so, I don't think we are gonna do a full cage, prob a bar, run it, get kicked out, then see what happens from there.

I forget who built the motor, it was built down in the Texas area by a reputable shop.

I was impressed with JDS when I called them...nice guy named Joe said he's in 7 days a week and he said he even enjoys the business. That's a rarity. Plus they do EJ motors all day which makes me confident.

That's good to know since no one ever does any VQ35 work around here.. It was impossible to find a tuner that would tune a VQ35.

Can you tell I'm enjoying Subaru life right now?

Won't be making it tonight, took apart my bezel cracked headlight last night. It's been drying since last night.. epoxy still a bit gooey. Had a fun time putting about 14 pieces of small plastic together last night. Going to finish it off later today with some plastic putty to fill in all the cracks/missing plastic piece, sand it down and black it out.. then gotta pull the other headlight and black it out to match bleh.

I will! You had recommended them in a post a while back so I figured I'd call them up. You're not going over there by any chance any time this week?
