Awdtuning's Mexico STi made 784whp at dyno day!
Would first like to thank everyone for coming out to the dyno day yesterday! It was a blast! I'm being told we had well over 500 people out!! NiceBurgs was amazing as always, they said they served over 800 burgers that day! Wow!
When I get near a computer I'll post the Harlem Shake video that we made yesterday. lol it's so funny! Again thanks! I'd also like to thank our Marketing guru, Jared, for putting it all together. It wouldn't have happened without him and the rest of my team! We ran over 35 cars on the dyno yesterday! Got to break ALL the hearts! Lol I'll also post that video in here as soon as its done. The Mexico STi (owned by Orestes Salomón) has been an amazing project to work on this year! His car came to us last March with all kinds of head scratching issues, but we tore it down and got it all fixed up. We had one goal in mind last year and that was to break 700hp... which we did! Made 709whp on his FP 3794. But then he decided it wasn't enough. So our quest for 800hp began. We upgraded a few things inside the engine and upgraded to a BorgWarner Bullseye power S374 turbo. We have chosen VP racing C85 for our fuel of choice (and we are extremely impressed with the fuel thus far) Yesterday he put down 784whp at 38ps!!! (I will post video and dyno graph here as well). Our last pass made 43psi but we were unable to get a good enough read out to get a dyno graph. We need to replace the original OEM radiator hose and then we'll get it right back up on the dyno for 40+ psi. So stay tuned. I think it's safe to say this is officially the highest HP Subie in the state of Texas! In two weeks we install our Modena sequential dogbox and Tilton clutch as we prepare to head back to the Texas Mile in March! Can't wait! Thank you guys for all the amazing support! And thank you to our team! Colin, Victor, Kirby and Crystal! And especially thank you to our partner/engine builder Will and our good friend Orestes Salomón! These guys are by far the best crew we have ever had. People tell us constantly that our partner Will is the best thing to ever happen to Keith and I... And I can't agree more! -Mary

Congrats guys! That car is a beast, no doubt!
It's been a while since I posted here. I'm glad to see you guys built this one, and have made some great business decisions recently. That said, I can only expect to see more great things coming out of your shop. Congrats Keith and Mary! |

Pretty cool to see a car that has been worked on by two local shops being pushed to its limits.

That is an amazing machine, all the people that have had the opportunity to work on that car should be very proud.
Thank you to all the peeps at AWDtuning for putting on the Dyno Day. I had an awesome time out there! I've never had the opportunity to dyno any car I've ever owned. It was so great to do that for an exceptionally cheap price and get to hang out with a bunch of cool car folks. P.S. I personally was the most fascinated with your 914 project; can't wait to see that thing up and going! |

And yes, I'm very excited to see the 914 swap done. Should be soon. Just waiting on some parts. We put a complete 07 STi longblock in it and are looking to keep it around 250-300whp until he can upgrade the axles. |

Dyno day was awesome, nothing like watching a bunch of people who think their car is gonna make over 500whp walking out with a 350whp dyno chart, haha. That dyno really is the heartbreaker of heartbreakers.
Goes to show how incredible that Mexico STi really is. I don't think any videos will do justice to how ridiculous that car is in person, it seriously sounds like a jet engine, it's unreal. Can't wait to see you guys break the sound barrier at the tx mile. |

^ It is quite funny to see some of the reactions when people get their dyno numbers back.
"Well I was dropping 575 when I... what? What do you mean 320 horsepower?" And yes, Orestes' car sounds like a fighter plane. Needs more rockets... |

Like that Eagle Talon in 2011. "It makes 720whp." Put down 580.

Im with Chris. You have to see the STi in person to get a fear for how unreal that thing is. And my favorite thing is minus the interior stripped, its a stock looking car.
Minus the hoosers. |

784whp comes close to 1khp at the crank. I think like 820 is the accepted "you are making a grand at the motor" number on most AWD cars.
I think. Either way, that car is close to 1000chp. |

I'd challenge the owner to do a baseline on Cobbs dyno again.
When it left Cobb it made 685 whp on their dyno. AWD says when it did a baseline it made 511whp. That's a 25% drop. So theoretically if it makes 785whp on AWDs dyno. Take 25% of that and add it to the number and you should get what Cobbs dyno would read. In theory. Using that math it should read 981 whp on Cobbs dyno. I'd like to see that wouldn't you? |

I am sorry but that is not going to happen. We can take it to Jotech or Alamo for a baseline to compare if you really want. OR... We can just take it to the track and see what it does.
