wtb: built sti shortblock, or jdm ver. 7/8 motor
i'm looking for either a built sti shortblock (ie crawford, axis, kingpin, etc.) or a full jdm ver. 7 or ver. 8 motor. preference is for the short block, as it would be the cheapest fix for my car, but i will definately take a jdm motor if the price is right. i will also consider jdm blocks such as a ver. 6/7/8.
i'm looking to spend around $1500 plus shipping for a brand new built block. i think ia performance contacted me last time i was looking for a block and they had crawfords, but i'm hoping a company will bite on this thread this weekend with pricing so i can figure out what i'm doing by next week. pm me. -mike

honestly, i definately would be depending on how many miles are on it, price, condition, etc. i'm looking for a flawless block that is known to be working, as i just bought an sti hybrid motor in good faith that turned out to have a compression of 75 in cyl 1. i was looking to buy new because i'm just tired of buying screwed up parts, so if you could send me some pix (pm me for my email address) and tell me more about it, i might definately consider it.

I haven't had time to get the motor apart, but I will ASAP.
Are you interested in a long block? I have decided to sell my v7 block and v7 heads. It would include v7 block, v7 heads, v7 engine harness, IAP AVCS wiring kit. Let me know if you are interested in it. |
