Default Air vent wandering

Both of the vents on the far left and right of my dash tend to... go their own way... lol

Has anyone figured out a way to help them stay put? I thought about taking them out and disassembling them to clean them up real well but I doubt that'd make them stay where I point them any better. I really don't have any other ideas.

I guess if no ones tried to fix it then I may have to just dig in. I wonder if felt or the softer side of velcro might add enough tension to keep them in place and also still let them be adjusted?

Thatís what I had in mind. I was thinking a strip of felt on the actual round vent and another strip around the housing to tighten it up. Let us know if you do it

Came here to see someone beat me to saying: Felt tape. It's how we fixed them at the dealership I worked at. Just add enough to add a bit of tension
