Default Funniest phrases/questions you've heard about your Subie

So I thought I'd launch a thread about funniest things people have told/asked you about your Subie. Or EVO/SRT-4 i guess too, since they're all "similar" from other non-technical people's point of view.

Let's hear it! =)

I guess I'll start with first one I could remember:

My GF's aunt asked me: (about 06 STi with stock wing)
- "So this wing helps you to lift off?"
- "No, actually it prevents you from lifting off."

Should've seen her eyes lol

someone asked me like a week ago:
"Did you get the one with the supercharger?"

then proceeded to say that:
"I am thinking about getting an STi"

I have also had someone say:
"Is that a neon?"

A comment to a youtube video about STi VS uber-tuned Civic track race:

"Yeah, STIs are nice but as soon as that VTEC kicks in it's crazy"

1) "I didn't know subaru made cars like this"
2) "What's that thing on the hood for" (this was a question from my wife's friend. And my wife knew the answer, I'm so proud of her!)

Once a guy said, "So you want to be like us Mopar guys (muscle car guy) with that scoop?". Then had to explain that it was actually functional and it is stock.

One guy said he thought my car was miss firing bcause of the exhaust note.

Always get asked why it sounds like it does. Get sick of explaining it to people every week.

I worked briefly at a subaru dealership, but it was being managed by the real "old time" used car type sheisters. "Never give the customer a chance to say no." I don't know if its funny, but I never was able to lie enough to sell a single car. Whereas, I had a co-worker who turned on the "poor block servant" talk whenever he was selling a car to whitey

"Oh yessah, you sho' would look good in this car, yessir. I sho' wish I had me the money fo' a car like this."

How the heck am I supposed to compete with that? Or even address it?

My friend just got himself an 04 WRX, so we got 2 subies standing by his garage.
His neighbor (boxer, real "tuff" guy driving an H2):
"So are you boys racing those little toys? Hahaha..."

real macho man lol

"How much did those blue seats cost you?"

"Doesn't STI stand for sexually transmitted infection?"

Someone: "How much horsepower you have in that, like 170-180?"
Me: "About 300 at the crank"
Someone:""

Ace hardware employee: "How can I help you"
Me: "Hi i need to buy some wire by the foot, and some butt connectors"
Ace: "Alrighty, what for?"
Me: "I'm trying to hook up my 118 dB car horns"
Ace: "Is that REALLY necessary?"
Me: "Yes"
