Default Funniest phrases/questions you've heard about your audio/video system?

Inspired by the thread of a similar name regarding Subarus, I was wondering if anyone has gotten silly questions or comments about their car audio?

I was doing a little work on my Leggy today, and my trunk was open. My dad came down the driveway with a confused look on his face. He walked up to me and the following conversation took place:

Dad: "You have a speaker in your trunk? Why in the world would you do that?"
Me: "Uh, it's a subwoofer. One that size normally goes in the trunk."
Dad: "Well why is it in the trunk? If it's all the way back how can you hear it?"
Me:

The part I found the funniest wasn't that he didn't know why I put the sub in the trunk and thought it wouldn't be audible back there... It's that I've had this particular amp, sub, and box installed in 3 cars since 2002, he's driven all of them, and he was around for two of the three installs.

I've herd so much, I let most if it fly in one ear and out the other... I have my BS filter well tuned these days, and I think i've trained my brain to not even compute some if it..

I definitly block it out, because, well, I still post here.....

Some can't, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard... I know, some of our greats here simply got fed up and don't post nearly as much as they used to...

So now, it's a few "old hats" and a few newer brains that keep this section kicking... we are a dieing breed though... like all things good, it eventually succumbs to the onslaught...

Yeah I hear ya Aaron. I've read NASIOC off and on over the years and I seem to remember a lot more activity in this section.

I know in my case I try to keep everything in perspective. I don't know everything, or even a lot, so when someone comes by that knows even less than I do, I do my best to educate. Of course the problem with that is a lot of people won't listen unless they're paying for it, and sometimes not even then. So a lot of times that information you provided just goes to waste.

I did manage to educate my dad on subs though, just the basics. No need to overwhelm him with the technical.
