I asked a local dealer if they sold any Extra-S in a quart bottle, or were they just shipped the stuff in the big barrels. He told me he never heard of the stuff. Then went on about ATF, and I told him to enjoy the rest of his day. Now have to drive three times as far to get it.

But he can hit fourth gear faster, bro -_-

Had a "nice" conversation with my service supervisor at work, a while ago. For someone who claimed he was an ASE master tech.

Him:"does the hoodscoop make your car faster"
Me:"Technically yes, the intercooler for the turbo sits below the opening"
Him:"so?"
Me:"Cool air gets forced into the opening and onto the intercooler helping prevent heat soak, from the motor, and keep the air going into the motor cooler increasing power"
Him:"but its ten degrees, the air is plenty cold"

I walked away after that

Took a few of my friends for a ride in my stage 2 04 WRX..
Girl in the backseat: Why do you make that noise every time you shift?
Me: What sound?
Girl: The "psh" sound
Me: Oh, that's not me, it's the BOV!
Girl: Ah, I that it was you making that noise.

Ha, I don't need to make any fake noises, it makes enough noise on it's own.

I swear, the repeat stories and the blatant asshaterey in this thread are getting a bit much.

Yeah im with you on this one. A salesman didnt know what a lugnut was?? I would have walked out too. And to that other guy that said explain what a lugnut was to him? Really that doesnt bother you at all that a car salesman didnt know what a lugnut was and couldnt deduce what it was from the conversation?? Also it sounds like you have standards i.e. a car place knowing what a lugnut was and not too many people nowadays would have walked out.

That is why you don't ever talk to a salesman and go to parts department. I'm sorry but you failed to do that... but we live and learn. Don't talk to salesman they don't know squat

When I listed my 2001 2.5RS for sale, some ****ing halfwit emailed me asking if the car was an STi, because his friend has one, and my car looked different.

So what good would it do to talk to a salesman for a lugnut, they can't get you anything from parts. Anyone who's spent anytime at a dealership would know this.

But I apologize for jumping your ****, you didn't mention parts was closed in the original post.

And yes I don't expect anything out of salesmen, they are typically there because they can sell well, not because they are car knowledgeable.

Are you assuming he'd know it was a wrx/turbo from seeing the hood scoop? Because you know, people never put wrx hoods on their N/A imprezas... not even once.
