Wife and I hoped to see him touring as he came nearby a few years ago. She loved Islands in the Stream. Won't be a minute after I wake up this morning before she let's me know she's read about it on Facebook.

RIP. My parents used to have a bunch of LPs when I was younger and one of them was his greatest hits album. The only song I specifically remember listening to was "The Gambler."

Haven't listened to him in years...err...decades.

But hearing the montage all the news outlets were playing definitely brings me back.

I remember my parents having the Greatest Hits LP. All good stuff.

I knew there was a "Gambler" movie. I didn't know they made 7 of them.
