I don't see how a set of late-model wheels and a fancy paint job equals rice. Swap those wheels out for some beadlocks and stickies and I bet you guys would be drooling over it.
EDIT: Ok, that subwoofer is a little excessive, I'll give you that. EDIT AGAIN: And the red dash is cheesy. I didn't look at the interior before making this post . |

I saw what appears to be a Pinzgauer 4x4 with a for sale sign on it in my neighborhood recently. I'm gonna have to go get a closer look at it if it's still there.

Uhh, I've done it quite a bit. The "AS1 Line" on a windshield are markings to show how far down it's ok to do (legal here even in repressive VA). I had it done on my original Wrangler windshield as I get migraines and every little bit of glare reduction helps.
Just because you don't do it doesn't mean there isn't a justifiable reason others do. |

My friend did it to his LS430. It looked pretty sweet, but I could. not. see. ****. at. night. I hated driving it.
My eyes are really sensitive to light too, so you'd think it would have been a boon for me. |

depends on your sight line. Even at 6'1", it was no issue on my Wrangler.

I'm 6'4"... so you think my head would have to be lower to benefit?
I will say that I briefly had a windshield that did not have the factory "eyebrow" and it was miserable. That is totally essential to me, though you wouldn't think it. His LS has the entire windshield done. |

lower to make it not annoying, that's for sure. my head hits the headliner in my current car, but only in the morning when my back is stiff as a board from sleeping.

The folks in Guatemala and Honduras tint the windscreen like that save for a part the size of a postcard that is not tinted for tunnel vision viewing pleasure at night. I'll have to dig up the photos from my overland trip from Belize to Panama.

My WRX had one similar to yours, PGT. I didn't like it at first but once I got used to it, I loved it.

well, they "invested $40K"! more like set fire to $40k. I'd redo a lot of it....found a nicer proper four door in WA that just sold for the same $$$ so just goes to show what patience brings.
as with a decision a decade ago to buy a new Wrangler vice an 8yo D90, one would be hard-pressed to buy used British or German for the same money as a new JK, if logic and fiscal responsibility enter your equation. That's always the conundrum; "cool" is trumped by not wanting to buy a money-pit. |

On an unrelated note, I had one of the 'tards at work telling me that all Wranglers only came with a 3 speed auto. Le sigh. |

THoughts on the Wrangler MW3 Edition? They seem to be sitting on dealer lots. Providing a good discount is possible, is it worth the $$ over an optioned Rubi? I don't care for the bading and would remove it...strictly talking about the AEV parts and 100% factory warranty vs. buying an Arctic Edition and putting similar AEV stuff on it. |

ROFL. We've had parallel tracks on cars for awhile...figured it would look "odd" if we had another matching pair. People would start to talk...
Besides.....Raptor don't 'vert. |

I know this is the Jeep thread, but no way. Cameras are a potential revenue source that hardly depreciate and can be tax deductible. Cars... are none of those things.
Buy the camera, take pictures of Pippa Middleton, get paid, get 60" tires. |
