Hey guys, new job (inner city philly HS span teaching) has been brutal for the 1st ~2 weeks, so I apologize for the delay, but I do have an update.

Tomm I'll add pics but it seems like there either wasn't enough clearcoat or hardening agent in the 1st test round of the single stage so I think I'm going to have to use a basic enamel clearcoat when time comes to paint the trunk. I re installed the spoiler after more than 2 weeks of drying and dust stuck to it right away and I don't think the clearcoat is completely impermeable when it rained. All that means though is that I'll sand, refinish, and add a basic enamel clearcoat to protect the paint more, as well as harden the finish for faster turn around time!!

As for the trunk I have done 2 more rounds of filler since the last pics and it's coming out pretty nice!!
Did the grilles (upper & lower), have paint for the front emblem, and have some strakes to add too! I hope to have everything painted pretty soon, and was going to install all at once. Most likely will be this weekend! I'll update pics tomm

So Ill go ahead and claim the retard status if I missed it but how well did the new paint on the window spoiler match up to the rest of the car?

Well I hate to bump a killt thread, and I'm sure nobody cares anymore, nor do they remember.... but for ****s here's a little preview. I FINALLY finished painting and clearing it, and it should be going on the car tomorrow. I apologize for the lengthy wait, but I had to take my time with the prepwork.... and also lose, gain, and then work a full time teaching gig too lol. Here's a preview before it goes on tomm when the weather clears

Also update on the roof spoiler is that it matched almost perfectly, but I thought the clear coat IN the paint mix would be enough and it wasn't so it has been water damaged. I will be removing that, sanding it, and respraying that as well... this time WITH the extra layer of clear.

PS those spots are flash marks and the marks are cat hair(s)... the trunk is flawless. Will get more pics when it's on!!

nice. but you should have block sanded the spoiler. like someone said, people usually look for waving first when they see some custom body work. get a shot farther away, not in your back seat

I seem to be having a little trouble getting the lid to close perfectly... should I mess with the latch, or the four mounting bolts? I'll try to snap some pics when it's on.... it's looking verrrrrry subtle! And the spoiler's a little wavy.... but I think my paint job is good at least

Thanks, was originally a ureshi replica but now it is a modified m3 spoiler cut to fit this roofline as the ureshi was just sitting akwardly far out onto the glass for my liking.

I need new wheels.
