The glitter is definately a new twist on repainting the 6-stars badge.

<---on the fence about it.

Awesome DIY mod. Gonna do mine soon in red or black.

At first I thought the glitter was gay... and on second thought gay as well. But hey if you like it who give a rats @ss what I think. Just my opinion.

Just did mine in black yesterday...

For some reason the brake clean wasnt just "cutting through" the paint... i had to apply a lot of pressure and scrub like hell...

as a matter of fact i have two blisters on the same finger!

^^I thought the same thing when I cleared the 1st one. Then I realized the problem was more that the paper towel I was using had absorbed all the paint it could handle. Also did you use the red or green can brake clean? I was using the green and it did a good job. Here is mine. Had the front done for a while. Just got the back done because I cracked the original one. Hard to see in the picture but its a 3 step paint job. 1st really light coat candy red, 2nd light coat of metallic red, final coat of metallic silver. Looks good in person.

really nice, man. My 02 WRX is badgeless except for the front grille emblem. It's black and my car is blue so I want to paint it blue of course. Glad I found your post, it will surely come in handy when I do mine.

Bleh, matching the '06 emblem will be harder than I thought. I got a closer look at my friends car the other day. Its actually a tiny checkerboard pattern of blue and black

Is there a way to remove the chrome stars?

Will 02-03 badges fit the 06-07s?

Emblems look amazing. I'm thinking about something similar.

Any details on how to get the red lining around the front grill? That would be a nice touch with the emblem.

theres a way to paint the carbon fiber look. im not fully sure how, but it involves some non slip matting and layering the paint right. try and google it.

on another note, anyone know where to get a replacement stars badge? i tried to google it and couldnt find anything.
