Hey Don,

I've been contemplating on whether to do a light smoke or red on the tail lights on our pearl 09' wagon. Would you happen to have some pics of smoked tails on wagon?

Not sure if some people noticed, but I let my vendor account on here expire a few months back now. Reason was, I was too busy with all of the cars/work I had already, I had to slow down or stop some of my activity on some of the forums that I was on, and this was one of them.

Those who actually e-mailed me, instead of just posting here or tried PMing, got actual answers/responses back. Since when my vendor account is inactive, it does not allow me to post or respond/send PMs.

Either way, I am back now, and will update/answer any questions that you guys may have.

thanks.

I don't get too many cars of this color coming by to get their roofs done, so it's a nice change of pace. I wrapped this Infiniti M45's roof with my gloss black vinyl material. On a darker colored car like this, the gloss black roof gives it a very nice subtle touch. Although it's still noticeable, it is not as large as a contrast as it would be on a white car. A black roof may make a BMW more sportier looking, but on a car like this, it can also make the car look more "elegant" or lux as well. This car was from around the Costa Mesa/Orange County area.

This time around, I finally remembered to take some before/after pictures for you guys. It also happens to be on car that had vinyl installed on it with materials previous purchased from Sticky City. The wrong material was used/sold, and this is what happened after the owner removed it off of his car around a year or so later. You can see there was an extreme amount of adhesive left behind after removing it. The owner told me that the material was basically starting to flake off after a year or so, and when he tried to go to remove it, it was basically just coming off in such small pieces/sections that it made it extremely time consuming.

The car is a blue Subaru STI/WRX that I vinyl wrapped the roof in my 3M 1080 gloss carbon fiber material. The owner of this car came out to me from around Glendale/Pasadena/Los Angeles County area. I gave it a shot to see if I could help him get rid of this eye sore, and the results will speak for themselves.

Since the 3M 1080 scotchprint gloss carbon fiber material is quite different from the 3M di-noc carbon fiber material, I tried to take some pictures inside and outside, to show you the different effects that it has in both conditions, to give you a better idea of how it all looks and compares.

Here is the before:

Here is what I was able to do:

My first BMW F10 5 series that I've done since this model came out. I applied my gloss black vinyl wrap material to his roof. I had some requests for closer up pictures of around the sunroof and antenna areas, to squash any doubts or worries that some had regarding those two areas. As you can see, everything is done very neatly and there are no seams or exposed areas of paint there. The owner of this car was around the Inland Empire area I believe, and came out to me in Orange County to have his roof done.

Here's a white Audi B8 that I vinyl wrapped the roof, hood, and bumper in my matte black finish/material. The owner of this car wanted to continue the theme down from the roof to the center raised section of the hood and the center section of the bumper. I thought it looked pretty cool, and it actually ended up making the car look wider. The owner of this car was in San Diego, and I happened to be down there in the area already from Orange County, so I dropped by and did some work on his car.

Lately I've been having more people steal and use my pictures as their own without my consent. So in order to both protect me and you guys too, I decided to try out a new watermark for the mean time. It is kind of distracting, so I am going to give it a test run and see if I am going to continue with it, or leave the pictures without the watermark and accept the fact that there will be some of my images stolen and used.

Either way, onto the car. I tried doing some before and after pictures, but for some reason I forgot to do it for the roof. I vinyl wrapped the roof of this gray Audi A5 in my gloss black material, smoked/tinted his tail lights and also smoked/tinted the amber area on his front headlights. I actually blacked out the chrome on the his old C300's window trim before as well. The owner of this car came to me from around the San Diego area up to me in Orange County to get the work done.

The pictures were kind of rushed, so some of them didn't turn out as well. I mainly tried focusing on taking more up close and detailed pictures this time. I wanted to show you guys that even if there is no side/roof rail, I am able to trim it perfectly straight where it ends at the sides/edge. I also did some close up of the antenna area to show that there is no paint showing around that area, which some other installers would kind of mess up on.

Let me know what you guys think about the watermark and the pictures of the car.

I don't get around to posting too many pictures of tinted/smoked tail lights, so I figured I'd do so this time around. Here's pictures of a black BMW E60 M5's tail lights and head lights that I tinted/smoked with my vinyl film material. I tinted only the red portion on the rear tail lights and for the front headlights, I tinted the turn signal chrome reflector top portion only, to bring the brightness of the chrome down a bit. He was actually around in Orange County, around Lake Forest or so, which fairly close to me.

This will be a good comparison for those who are curious about how only partial parts of the tail/head lights are when tinted versus having the whole thing done.

I went through my pictures, and decided to pick this blue E46 BMW 3 series to post pictures of for today. Since I mainly end up doing work on so many white cars, it's not always easy for the non-white colored car guys get to see how it looks on other/different colors. This car was done a while back, but I believe he was from around the Huntington Beach/Orange County area. I vinyl wrapped his roof in my gloss black material and I also did his window trim in my matte black vinyl material. This will also give guys who were interested in doing both their window trim and roofs an idea of how the matte and the gloss looks together.

Here are some pictures of a pewter or a sand color Mercedes Benz C230 (I believe) that I vinyl wrapped the roof in my gloss black material with, when I was up in norcal about two months ago. The sun kept coming and going that day (you can see all of the clouds in the reflections), so it made it kind of hard to take the pictures, but I did the best I could.

This car is another good example of a car that is not so brightly colored, such as a white or a red car would be, but the gloss black roof is still a subtle but noticeable addition to the car.

It's been a long time since I've been an active vendor on this forum. I was so swamped with work, that I let my account expire and wasn't able to get back on until now again. I apologize for everyone who tried contacting me and were not able to or thought that I was ignoring you. Just want to clarify that I was not and that I was just not able to accept PMs and only those who e-mailed me were able to get responses when my account was inactive.

Anyways, back to vinyl

It's that time of year again. I am going to be making a trip up to norcal / San Jose area sometime in the next 3 weeks to do some vinyl wrapping once again. I know it's a bit of a late notice, but I just finalized the details of my trip and wanted to make this happen asap for those who have been waiting. I may be even up there as early as this Wednesday or Thursday.

I can only take so many appointments a day, so time slots will be a bit limited. I'll be available Mon - Fri. I won't be available on the weekends to do any vinyl work. I am booking all of my appointments via e-mail at [email protected] E-mail with the date you are interested in coming by and I will let you know what times I still have available for that day

Here are links to pictures of some of the things that I can do, separated a bit to help you view them easier. I am not limited to only what's seen/shown below. So feel free to ask if there is something you don't see but are interested in getting done.

Gloss / matte black roof wraps - http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...705158&page=16
3M DiNoc/1080 carbon fiber roof wraps - http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...704966&page=13
Blacked out window trim - http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...=734930&page=5
Smoked / tinted tail light pictures - http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...=705594&page=7

Tentatively, I'll put down these dates as when I will be up there this month of July:

12th
13th
16th
17th
18th
19th

Everyone who has e-mailed me already in the past will get priority as far as time slots goes, and everyone else who contacts me first will get priority after that. I may extend my trip, depending on how many appointments I can book.

thanks.

This is a longer post than usual, but I figured it is fitting because it showcases just some of the multiple types of vinyl services that I am able to do. On this silver Mercedes Benz CLS65 AMG, I vinyl wrapped the roof and roof spoiler in my matte black material, blacked out the chrome / brushed aluminum window trim in matte black as well, and lightly tinted / smoked the headlights as well as the turn signal lights on the side mirrors.

The matte black really gives the car an aggressive non-factory look as well as a very sleek look to the roof.

It is a bit ironic, because the owner of this car came down to me in Orange County from the Bay Area, and now I am going to be up in the Bay Area to do some vinyl wrapping. The owner of this car was planning on putting on matte black wheels later on, which will really go well and set off the matte black roof and window trim very well.

Note: The tail lights on this car were not tinted/smoked by me, only the headlights were.

I tentatively only have 1-3 spots left. I have two cars to confirm for 2 of those 3 spots, so if they do, then I'll only have one spot left available, which would be on Monday the 16th at 4pm.

Here is a white Scion / Toyota FR-S FT86 that I worked on. The owner of this car drove from San Diego up to me in Orange County / Anaheim Hills to have me tint the tail lights on his car with my clear red vinyl film material to tone down the altezza / chrome-ish tail lights that came on the car. Everything was done seamlessly using a single piece for each tail light. It changes the look of the car dramatically. This is how the cars should have came from the factory. Doesn't bother me though, at least it gives me another job/car to do and offer to you guys

Lighting to me is always one of the biggest look changers that you can do on a car. It is sometimes over looked, but by applying a clear red film like this over the tail lights completely changes the look of the car and even lightly tinting / smoking the tail lights can create a big effect in the car's look.

Thanks for all of the interest. As of a couple of days ago, I have completely booked my schedule for my July 12 - 19th norcal / bay area trip do some vinyl wrapping up there.

For those who were interested but were not able to schedule an appointment with me or if you saw this too late, feel free to e-mail me and I will put you on my norcal contact list for when I am up there again (TBA). I will be up there sooner than later if I can get enough cars together.

thanks.

Had some time this morning to resize these pictures of the first car that I worked on while up here. The owner of this white G37 coupe drove to me in San Jose from somewhere north of me to bring by his white G37 coupe to get the roof vinyl wrapped in my gloss black material. The gloss black roof really sets the car off, even on a stock or lightly modified car.
