Question North of Boston, looking at WRX Limited

Hey all,
First post, looking forward to meeting the regulars.
Iím looking at buying a Ď19 WRX Limited, possibly by the end of September.
My current car is a Ď17 Ford Edge that blew its long block at 48.5k, thankfully under warranty. While I wait for the backordered block to be delivered and the motor rebuilt, Iíve been car shopping and have reluctantly fell in love with the WRX I test drove. Being 6í3Ē to 6í5Ē, depending on the convenience store, I fit very well with the sunroof. It drove wonderfully and was at the time well out of my price range. However lately Iíve found a few locally close to $25k and itís tempting me.
I have also done some searching for motor reliability and found that there was a rash of bad motors in the 09-14 WRX/STIs and there seem to be multiple lawsuits pending. So Iím a bit hesitant seeing as this will be my daily, and I travel 100 mi round trip every day. I donít want to find myself in the same situation as I currently am with another car with known engine problems. Iím religious with oil changes, and other basic maintenance so I donít expect issues, but supposedly those others Iíve read stories about were too. I have no desire to push any mods into my car until after it stops being my daily many year down the road.
Looking forward to your input!

And yes Iím the same Revan from NES if any of you degenerates are on here too.

The 15+ has a completely different (FA series)motor than the previous generation. So far it seems to be more reliable. That being said the EJs were/are reliable for the most part. My EJ had some problems but it did have 160,000 miles.
Iím loving my 19 limited so far. 8,000 miles.

On your power seats, can you tilt the seat front up and down? I test drove a Premium with the manual seats and I donít remember that direction being an option.

Yah you can. The seat bottom tilts and goes up and down. Iím 6í2Ē with a 32Ē inseam and my head practically brushes the headliner. I would fit better without the sunroof. I always keep my seat in the lowest position.

36” inseam and just enough headroom to not be worried about most bumps.
I must have a shorter torso than you lol

Thanks for the heads up, it adds a wrench to my decision between the premium and limited now. Guess the solution will come down to how far I can negotiate them down.
