Just be careful with the half sheet on your hood. One solution creates a new problem.

I think I'm going to get the side skirt with clear bra, already looks rough after only 3 months.

I got my clear bra installed 2 weeks ago and I love it. For me it is definitely a peace of mind thing. I did full hood, front bumper, mirrors, and fender, he also added in a circular piece right behind the door handle which is nice. It would take me being about 1-2 feet away to see any lines if I were trying my hardest to look for them. Always go full hood, I will save you the time of searching and tell you the vast majority of people go full hood and the ones who go half, end up regretting it or taking it off to put a full one on.

At their request I am going back in 3 weeks so they can look over the car and make sure there are no problem areas. I may have them do the rocker panels at that time.

Word to the wise, I drive highway daily and have had my 16 WRB for about 5 months now. I finally decided to get the bra after noticing several rock chips in the hood. When I dropped the car off the guy at the shop recommened that I do not get the full bumper since the rock chips/divots there were significant and would create air bubbles once its dried. Fortunately I was still able to do the hood without any issues, but the bumper will need to be resprayed before I could get a bra put on. Do yourself a favor and avoid my mistake by getting this as soon as possible and don't wait.

I'm very happy with Xpel Ultimate wrap on my '15. I really didn't see the need to get full wrap, since the half wrap has enough coverage in my opinion.

I paid about $925 for: front bumper, half hood, fog lights, headlights, gas cap, door handle cups, side mirrors

I didn't get the clear bra and am kind of regretting it. I bought the car in November and I do a lot of highway driving. Now that the weather is warming up and I'm washing my car more often I'm realizing how many chips there are. Not a HUGE deal but something I would have liked to avoid. I'll live. It just makes me more aware to not tailgate. If it get's bad enough I'll just get it repainted. I don't lose sleep over it.

Will be doing a clearbra on my CWP 2016 on Monday. It's a lot of money, but damn if I don't love seeing that flawless front end every day. I would hate to lose that to a random rock.

Default Colgan bumper mask

I saw colgan made a black hood bra for our wrx/sti's, im thinking of just rockin these during the winter months and take it off summer. it's a cheaper alternative for those who don't mind the look lol.

Is the xpel clear bra more noticeable on a certain color say cwp or dgm? Trying to decide what color to order and might make me change my mind..

Is your bumper cutout 2 pieces? I had the xpel put on Monday (on my 16 CWP), and there are visible 'creases' on the front bumper where two patterns meet. The cutout on xpel's website shows the pattern for the bumper as 2 pieces, so I can't really be upset with the shop about it, but it still kind of bugs me. They're not visible though until you're right next to the car, unless the sun hits in a certain way.

Just wondering if that's the norm.

I wish I was a little closer, would def be interested in having work done once I pick a color and order my car.. Only about a hour and a half away. Just having a tough time picking a color (over-thinking too much) Sorry, getting off topic.

hmm the actual bumper we have for Xpel has a few seams in it the bottom and the center grill area. you should be able to but up the seams for a pretty decent look.

Yeah they're not very noticeable, maybe a little wider than I would like but you can't see them until you get about 6 inches to a foot from the car. I'll take a seam if it means the paint is protected. Was just curious if other shops/material had it as one piece. I'll probably eventually add the rally innovations bar so that will cover them up for the most part anyway.

I put on the 3M Scotchgard Pro Series on my 2015. Bumper, half hood/fender, mirrors, door cups, door edges, rear bumper ledge. They charged me $650 installed. Still looking great! Self healing, yellowing protection, and good warranty.

Can't tell it's there unless you are up close looking for it.

I would recommend getting the hood done. The bumper is plastic and wont corrode like the hood. I know the hood is aluminum but it still oxidizes and the paint can eventually bubble around chips. Also the hood is in more direct light and line of sight so a chip will be more noticable on the hood then on the bumper. I also recommend gettings the side skirts done if you will be carrying passengers frequently since myself and a few friends tend to hit our feet on them. I already have a few decent scuffs and scratches and the car isn't even a year old yet.

my 2006 has hads a full front clear (half hood, bumper, mirrors, corner of quarter panels), from the factory. the car/plastic is now 10 years old. besides the rock marks in the plastic, it looks like new. there is zero peeling on the corners, or yellowing/fading.

My complaints:
-with a light scratch in clear coat, it can be fixed.. light scratches in the plastic will stay
-when you wax your car, a wax buildup will occur at the edge of the plastic
-possible paint fade when the plastic is taken off
-i had a rock hit my quarter panel plastic pretty hard, there is now a "rip" in the plastic

(keep in mind I really haven't looked for a solution to any of these problems)

Hey everyone I'm stuck in deciding whether or not to get CQuartz Finest added on when I get xpel clear bra on my 2017 wrx, I'm getting a full hood, full or half fenders, full bumper and maybe getting the mirrors as well. My detailer suggested since my car is black I get it since coating helps with all other issues like wash swirls added gloss protection from Bird droppings and UV fading etc. But still not fully convinced it's worth forking the money for it.

If you're that afraid to drive it and get it damaged for what it was intended for, just wrap the whole thing and save yourself some money.
