![]() Hello,
i am looking at buying a JDM 5 speed from the first years the STI appeared. the tranny code is TY752VB3CA. it was in the 93-94 STI rated at 250 hp. i read that the transmissions with the code TY754VN2BA has the wider gears. i thought i read that all the STI ra or non-ra have the wider gears, is that true? i am running a 04 USDM STI motor and not looking at going higher that stock 300 hp, but don't have the money to go for a full 6 speed yet, but know my stock 5 speed won't last to long. i was mainly wondering if the JDM SIT gears are wider or if they will take my 300 hp so i don't have to baby it anymore since i am to broke to get the 6 speed i want. thanks in advance.
