![]() Today I pulled the BPV off and put it back on. Then the CEL came on. I did a reset, and the car only revs to just under 5000 RPM. When accelerating it seems to hesitate between 1750 and 2000 RPM but acts normal up to 5000 where it just cuts out. I pulled the Maf sensor and it revs over 5000 RPM fine... What could this indicate? Ive been trying to figure this out all afternoon.... Thanks!
Eric

![]() Okay I drove to advance, and got the cel code pulled.
P0102 MAF or VAF Circuit low Input P0113 IAT Sensor 1 Circuit High Input On the upside the car will now run over 5000 RPM, but is still bouncing at idle. It settles down after about 10 seconds and holds at 1750... |

![]() I'm not sure if I would trust those codes. I had a small shop check my cel and got one set of codes. Then I checked it at college w/ another code reader and got a completly different set. I've since found out that Subaru's obdII isn't 100***37; like it should be. I'm planning on going into a Suby dealer and just having them check it out. That is what I'd recomend. Idk how your dealer does things but they told me it was a 70$ fee but it includes diagnostics so you should know exactly what you need after.

![]() I would avoid going to the Subaru stealer if at all possible. If you had no problems before R&R of the (factory?) diverter valve then odds are it's a vacuum leak. Check anything nearby that could have been pulled or tweaked. Did you loosen any hose clamps? I know I forgot to tighten the hose clamp on the intercooler to throttlebody conection once and got the same thing. Engine bogs and you can hear rushing air. I have not personally tried it, but if you get a spray bottle and fill it with soapy water you can spray around the diverter valve and intake connections. The water will get foamy were the leak is.
