Default wont boost past 10psi

i have:

vf22
asp front mount
stock modded injectors to 740cc
walbro 255
erz turbo back
erz up pipe
tuned with enginuity.

i try to set boost map up to 20psi but it still only goes to 10psi.

i switched guages from the stock boost guage to an autometer CF

the old one with my old map showed .12 bar

this guage only shows 10 psi.

what all can it be?

it doesnt feel like its completely boosting.

Sounds like your boost solenoid is hooked up backwards. 10psi is probably wastegate pressure. It might also be your IAM, have you logged that? If its <= 4, the ECU won't control boost at all.

I hope it wasn't .12 bar, thats 1.7 psi of boost. Even if it was a mistake and you meant 1.2 bar, thats 17.4 psi of boost. Alittle closer to your boost target.

What are you logging with? Tari has a parameter called advance multiplier. If you can't find that, look at knock correction. If you're seeing a lot of negative values, there's something wrong with your tune.

There is a T in the vacuum line that goes from the wastegate to the boost solenoid. If that's backwards you'll only see wastegate pressure. You definately would have messed with it during the turbo install.

Exhaust leak?

Check all the little hoses around the turbo, when I had a TMIC installed, one had a small crack and had to be replaced. Easy fix with some vacuum hose. They dry up from all the heat and become brittle.

You'd have to have a huge leak to be losing 8psi.. That would probably be pretty apparant.

Defintely a good point qoncept, but still the hoses are worth a look. If the wastegate manifold hose is cracked, your turbo will not operate properly.
