The best bet for you is:

Go sell that WRX, buy a used 99-01 2.5RS and swap the whole drivetrain. You'll get the whole STI package, with transmission, engine, etc... And this might just be the whole price of your WRX, and you don't have to shell out anymore dough.

I was just gonna recommend this. I know a guy who did this and you really can't tell outside the loud exhuast that he's got anything powerfull running under there. It truely is pure sex to have a GC8 body and an STi engine/trans. It's like a US B22 basicly.

There is no point to swap the sti engine or block into your car. That would be like swapping an L67 into an SE. The trans support isnt there, along with all of the other factors. Your best bet, dollar for dollar would be to get a 16g turbo, modified stock fuel injectors, a cobb accessport (like your DHP), and a walbro fuel pump. Once you get tuned you'll be about at the max safest power for the tranny.

start with the basic's before going to the next level.it will be more easier that way and so you wont get confuse on which one you need and you dont need.

You seem to have very little knowledge, and normally I wouldn't spell out everything I would do if I had a good amount of money, but I'm bored, so here you go:

With an '03 WRX you have a few options:

Option #1 Typical Stage 4 Setup
Catless uppipe and downpipe (can leave or replace third catalytic converter depending on your preference and your state's emissions laws)

Intercooler hoses (Samco's or Perrin)

Cobb Accessport or Turbo XS Utec (Engine Management is a must)

VF series, 16G, 18G (VF30, VF34 for AP, any for Utec, have it ported and coated by Deadbolt, will help your spool and top end)

Walbro fuel pump (255lph size)

Upgraded fuel injectors (Most likely STi Pinks, but >650cc if you're going with large 16G or bigger)

Quality custom tune (Helps you to much smoother and safer, better gas mileage with it than without)

Bigger Intercooler (Not a neccessity, but stocker is only good for about 300whp, but it would be beneficial to swap it out if you're looking to make about that much power)

Option #2 JDM Motor Swap
JDM V7 STi motor (2.0L with 8K redline, AVCS[helps spool], semi-closed deck compared to open deck of USDM motors)

RA, Kaaz, or PPG gearset (Wise move, or you're going to grenade your tranny)

Standalone engine management (Hydra, or AEM, although I don't know too much about either)

Quality tune (always neccessary when you're modding to this extent)

Option #3 JDM Motor + Tranny Swap
JDM V7 STi Motor + Tranny (will cost you a lot of $$)

JDM ECU or Standalone EM (you won't go anywhere without it)

Of course, you still have a WRX, which presents a few problems. You need to control that power, both in turning and in stopping. You'll probably want to bump up to 17" rims and some Subaru 4pots, or maybe some Wilwood 6pots or Brembo take-offs from an STi.

You're going to need basic suspension mods, such as swaybars and bushings, and some springs and struts(KYB AGX's seem to be very popular, springs are your call depending on drop, just stay away from Tein S-Techs)

A short shifter from Kartboy is never a bad thing to have(mine is like sex) and a nice shift knob might make driving a tad more enjoyable.

So, there's a ton you can do to the car. I suggest going into the vendor section with an idea of how much power you want to make, how much you want to spend, and what areas you'd like to improve upon, and go from there. You might even find that you're better off just selling your '03 WRX and getting an STi, and that's fine if that's what suits you.

Good luck in your quest for whatever it is.
