Today I went over to Rev Works in Winter Springs, FL. Talked for a long time with Matt there and decided on these parts. He took a lot of time to talk about my goals and gave me great pricing!

you are paying for install on that stuff? why not do it yourself? stage 2 is a nice bump in power.

You must have a good job. if ur time is worth more than what a shop charges($75/hr). The point at which its not worth it to do your own car work is when your at about 150k/yr. if you make less than 150k/yr its actually worth it to take the day off from work to do the install.

Yeah I hear ya. I just want it done though and done right.

Is there any reason I should keep my oem exhaust and intake? Is there a market for it at all?

if you wanna sell the car stock, save the parts to reinstall in the future. i sold all my stock parts. i dont wanna swap everything ive done back and will not sell for a long time anyway.i sold just about everything on here.

I wonder if all the people who say "install it yourself" does any of their home/appliance/electronics repair and maintenance themselves...

this is the usa, we just throw away electronics when they stop working! lol. ive always liked to work on my own vehicles. i understand what you are saying though. not everyone is mechanical or has somewhere to work on their ride.

I don't appreciate being told to work on my own car much like most of the people saying this don't appreciate being told "use proper grammar" or "allow me to share with you about something I'm highly skilled at and explain to you why you're a piece of crap for not being highly skilled at it either"

i'm still new but i hear ya. i lived in apartments or town houses for 8+ years where i didn't have a driveway or garage to turn wrenches in. sure, had buddies who said "just use mine" but i'm an early bird. i get up early and get it done. plus, if something goes wrong i don't need a ride home.

OP - do what you want. whatever makes you happy.

i think the reason you'll get the "just do it yourself" is because the bolt-ons really aren't that hard to do. -except if your not mechanically inclined, you will mess something up.

i'm not expecting a repair manual.. but the install instructions out there today are garbage! your better off NOT even looking at them going straight to google. or have a laptop or tablet with you. just my .02

I don't think it's the fact that it's hard to do in a driveway, just tedious. Luckily a friend of mine has a lift that I can use in his garage.I'm extremely claustrophobic so I wouldn't be able to just get a couple of jacks and jackstands and do the job.

I did my DP and then the q300 CBE a couple weeks later, then removed the q300 CBE two weeks after.

Using ramps because i dont trust my jack stands on my driveway.

Anywho, i'd say the heat shield and DP bolts at the turbo suck the most, especially on a raised car (ramps).

But i just took brakes as needed and got done.

That will get you a very solid daily driver, and you'll be happy with it. Very similar to my setup now. Only other thing I would recommend is a group N transmission mount/crossmember bushings.

With good pictures, the most soft-handed people can do more than they ever thought.Threads in nasioc make me confident every time I have to dig into my car. Just research until you feel familiar with whatever it is your going to be doing, then do it. Slowly and carefully.

It'll help pedal feel a bit. Its one of those "why not" mods, especially if you're doing anything with your brakes.

I don't know anything about that stuff, but if its anything as expensive as super blue, go with DOT 5.1

That's not really good advice, if anything he should be fine with DOT 4.

OP, just a humble suggestion. If you're going to go turboback, get your car protuned. Find a competent tuner in your area and have that person tune your engine. You'll be much happier with the results and so will your engine. OTS stage 2 is nice, but the tune is not for your car specifically. A protune will be.
