....there's plenty of air flow out front. It will take far more than ambient radiator temps to overheat a halogen or LED setup. Many of the halogen lights even the high-end ones have plastic exteriors, which IMO says they don't get seriously hot when running the correct wattage bulbs. Only time your going to run into possible thermal issues is when u toss a 100 watt bulb or HIDs in were a 55 used to live.

44" LED light bar on OEM base rack up top and 22" LED light bar custom mounted upside down to bumper support in lower grille. Haven't seen many setups like this on a Subie around me.

How did you run the wire for the roof rack light?

Down the driverside of the windshield and into the engine bay by the wiper arm.

No problems with engine heat here. They don't block that much plus I've got the hood vents.

subscribed. I've been thinking about a DIY DJM fog setup but haven't take the time to figure out what I may need and if it's cost efficient. 02fastWRBLUE's PIAA lights are my top choice.

Edit: I also had a Rally Innovations bar... that didn't last too long.
Can you please tell me what website you got that hood pod at? I've been looking all over and can find it anywhere.

Thanks,

Bumping. Does anyone know if the rally innovations 2007 subaru model will fit on the 05s? Mounting wise.

More posts and more info on where your different set ups are from. The R.I. light bar is easily recognizable and its what I've been thinking about going with until lately, now I'm considering having my buddy use that design and fab me up something custom/stronger/easily removable.

I'm running two Hella 500ff's right now on the front of my Forester. I didn't want to run a light bar because I was going for a clean look, so my dad and I fabbed up small steel brackets that are tied into the bumper beam.

Here is what it looks like in action. My dashcam is not very good with night video, but you can get a feel for the difference from low beam to high beam. The actual distance you can see is much farther than the video shows.

The crappy audio is from YouTube's attempt to remove the song that was playing in the background.
I have two LED spotlights mounted in the bottom grille, and it looks nice. Problem is they're too low to the ground, and they barely increase the distance. Plus, there's not really anywhere else to place them higher...

Default suspension setup?

What size tires and wheels do you have on there? Is it stock suspension?

Default Subies lets see your light bar and rally light set up

Not exactly "rally setup" but definitely floods the road with an excellent beam. Here's the front lightning setup:

OEM LED low beams
OLM LED high beams
Subispeed S4-style fog light bezels
Diode Dynamics LED fog light housings
Diode Dynamics LED switchback c-lights
Auxbeam 23" light bar

Recently moved these 4 nilight LED cubes to the bumper from my roof rack. Much better for fog and reduced glare
