Default 235 or 245 width tires on 7.5in rim... will it work?

Just wondering if these wider tires will fit on the 7.5 in rim.. =T..

if anybody has tried it.. or has pics... thnks

235 is maximum for 7.5" width rim
8.5" would be ideal for 235 or 245

hrmm something interesting i saw...

at the kuhmo web site.. they have 7.5 as bare minimum for 235 and 245/40 on 17 inchers...

now... on 18's.. minimum jumps to 8...

anybody know why that is?

I'm guessing, but maybe because of the change in apect ratio between the width of the tread and the hieght of the side wall.
