![]() I was looking for aftermarket spoilers that fit my '07 wagon, and found this one from RPG Carbon (link) that I really like, but I have some questions about it before I consider buying it.
![]() Anyone know how it mounts? They say it should fit without modification, but is this really true? How does it mount if there doesn't seem to be any holes in the top of it to use the stock bolt holes? And also, how trusted is RPG as a brand? Is their stuff decent quality? Thanks in advance for any responses.

![]() I own a set of RPG mirrors, their quality is decent, maybe a step or two above ebay. No idea what thier plan is for mounting that spoiler, maybe 3m? I'd reach out to RPG to see what they say about that, you'll likely get a response faster than you will here.

I also messaged them about if it clears the stock window sprayer, since it doesnt look like it should. We shall see what they say. |

![]() Yikes on the black silicone. I did see that's what they use for their wagon 'spoiler extension' but was hoping they had some sort of embedded studs for that full replacement spoiler. I say this because one of the reasons I chose thier mirrors for my GC is that they include 3 embedded studs, like factory, vs. some of the Ebay versions that only include 2 of the three for some stupid reason.

![]() Yea. I think I'll use 3M VHB tape to mount it if I choose to buy it. That or see if I can drill my own holes in the spoiler and use the preexisting holes in the hatch to bolt both together.
Kinda sad that there are so few options for spoilers on the GG wagon. I don't quite like the stock one (i wish it didnt have a gap in the middle) and some of the aftermarket options are way too aggressive for me (I find a big wing on a non lowered or wide-bodied car to be tacky). This is about the only option I've found that sits somewhere in between. Last edited by BrooklynTony198; 11-16-2022 at 07:34 PM. Reason: Typo |

![]() So just got word back on the spoiler from RPG, they say that it does clear the rear window washer sprayer nozzle. Thankfully they engineer and design their stuff to actually require no major mods it seems like, unlike some other aftermarket manufacturers.

![]() I got the second one they made and it took about 3-4 months to get. Yes, 3m tape and black silicone adhesive. I can shake the whole car by it. The two things that the stock one mounts to are a bit of a pain to remove but its really easy to install everything. There are two holds in it from the factory but no way to mount it with them unless you make your own thing

![]() I'm also not a big fan of the OEM spoiler plus mine needs re-finishing, so am looking forward to some post-purchase progress reports and pics.

![]() Will do! Might make a new thread for that, but we shall see. Ordered it about 5 days ago during their Black Friday sale, so it probs will be delivered maybe next month. Planning on painting it body color (mmm, urban grey metallic...) so it matches the rest of the car.
